I don't think so, considering the apparent hate everyone here has for it. Honestly, the competition is wide open... that's what makes it exciting. There's no clear-cut favorite. Saturday's matchups are now ready to be voted on.

"Shoot an apple off my head" "Can anyone fly this thing before my head explodes" "Now my feet won't touch the ground" I could go on and on. Viva la Vida is not the only song with seemingly-nonsensical lyrics.

I knew the British people here would notice the relation to soccer. :) Rememeber, though... for the knockout stage (as you Brits call it) to be exciting and meaningful, we need lots of votes in pool play. So keep on voting, people! You do realize that most Coldplay songs have lyrics that don't seem to make sense, right? So if you hate Viva la Vida, I can't imagine why you like any of Coldplay's other songs.

Check the schedule page in the original post to see results. Why the Viva la Vida hate? It's a great song... just because it's the only Coldplay song that the mainstream kids know doesn't mean we shouldn't like it.

It seems we've lost about 10 people that voted yesterday... where did they go? The competition has only begun!

Bumping so this won't get overlooked... there's still five hours left to vote in today's matchups! X&Y and Viva la Vida are the albums being voted on today.

I love all this enthusiasm... you guys are really getting into it. :D Some of you may think that pool play is going to take too long, but think about it this way. In this competition, pool play is like a tournament within a tournament, because before the single-elimination tournament begins, we'll find out what the best songs on each album are.
