Obviously, all of us here love Coldplay. To us, they are the greatest band in history. We could go on and on talking about our favorite Coldplay songs, which makes one particular question very difficult to answer: which song is Coldplay's best? To answer that question, I've created a competition to determine which song is the best of them all. Over the next five weeks, 61 of Coldplay's songs will battle it out in a qualifying round (AKA pool play), and 32 of those songs will advance to a single-elimination tournament. In pool play, the songs will be divided into six pools (one for each album, one for Prospekt's March, and one for eight songs that were never on an album), and will play each song in their pool once. After pool play is complete, the top six songs in each of the four album pools and the top four songs in each of the two remaining pools will advance to the 32-song tournament play. Of course, the winner of each matchup will be determined by your votes. In each day of pool play (with the exception of the final two days), there will be 10 matchups to vote on. Please vote in every matchup per day, as uneven voting can cause an imbalance in the competition. Once you vote on one matchup, just click the back button in your browser after the results page appears, and you can vote on the remaining matchups in the same way. The voting period for each day will end at exactly midnight (ET), and very shortly after, a new voting day will begin (I will attempt to have everything set for the next voting day almost immediately after the previous voting day ends, but I can't promise punctuality every night). There will be no tiebreakers to determine the winner of a pool play matchup (they will simply count as ties), but in a tournament play matchup, higher seed will be the first tiebreaker. If that fails to break the tie, then the second tiebreaker will be largest margin of victory throughout the entire competition. Margin of victory will also be the tiebreaker used to determine tournament play seeding after pool play is complete. So... I think that's about all you need to know. There are over 60 games on Whose Line... but which one is the best? I've created this tournament to answer that question. Over the past month, 64 games have been battling it out to determine which one is the best game that the show has to offer. Half the field has been eliminated after a several-week-long pool play, which had the 64 games separated into eight pools of eight games. The top four games in each pool advanced to tournament play, which works just like a normal single-elimination tournament. As you might have figured out, the matchups will be decided by your votes. Actually, when I heard him say it, I thought he was just making that up to be funny. Although there were some pretty girls there... :cool: And I'm with you on your sad mood... I don't want to wait a long time to see them again. Although you have another big reason to be sad considering the developments of today. I feel bad for the fans in Tampa, but I'm also very happy that it didn't happen just one show sooner. Needless to say, me and my friend would have been totally devastated. Same here... I bet that made your night. :)

Holy cow. I mean... holy cow. I want to do this all over again tomorrow. My goodness, was this EVER worth the six-month wait. An absolute blast. I won't bother posting my few pictures/videos since you guys in the pit got incredible stuff, but I will say that I was pleased with where I was (for not being in the pit, I had pretty decent seats)... minus the annoying event staff constantly telling us to stay close to our seats. No problem, though... me and my friend still went insane like we wanted to. And I ended up getting a buttload of butterfly confetti like I wanted... it's sitting in a plastic bag right now, safely packaged to avoid harm. This was just so freaking awesome... I love this band! What a night... what a night.

Man... hearing all this stuff about the pit makes me wish I could be in there. :( My seats aren't too terribly bad, though, so I'm not totally devastated.

It's kind of sad knowing that Coldplay is an hour away from me right now and I'm not there, but that sadness quickly goes away when I realize that I'll see them tomorrow night. :D But as far as everyone that's going to see them in our state's capital city, have a great time! I can't wait to do the same tomorrow.

Great... thanks for the info! Wish I had known about this pit thing, though... I'll definitely have to look into that for the next time Coldplay comes here.

Time to come out of the shadows and start posting again... only one week to go. It's hard to believe that it's so close now. When the tickets went on sale, it was half a year away... that seemed like a really long time. Now, we're down to a mere week. I can hardly wait! :) A couple questions for those of you that have seen Coldplay live before... first, what's the deal with cameras? I'm sure they're technically not allowed, but do you just try to sneak it in and hope for the best? And do you need to keep flash off so you won't get noticed? Also, we got aisle seats, so will we be allowed to stand in the aisle the whole time, as long as we're near our seats? I mean, me and my friend will be having one of the best nights of our lives... surely we can't be expected to stay in our seats. Hopefully you guys can give me some help on these questions. And although nobody will care, I thought I'd update my original post in this thread... my girlfriend won't be able to go; instead, my friend's dad will be going. But she is moving here in about a month (after four years of her living in Ohio and being 700 miles away from me... not fun at all), so I'm extremely happy about that. :D

Any of you non-NCers been here before? Or to Charlotte? I'd say our state is nice, but Charlotte is arguably the best city our state has to offer. You'll enjoy it. But then we'll block the view of the people behind us. :(

Well, we got tickets! We decided to settle on Charlotte, though, since they had the best tickets left. So although Raleigh is only an hour away and the Queen City is about three hours away, it's still not so far away that it'd be difficult to go. Plus, even though I'm moving to the Raleigh area soon, I've always loved Charlotte. We ended up getting tickets in section 9... me and my girlfriend will be in row K, seats 1 and 2, and my friend Jonathan will be in row J, seat 3. I'm so pumped! :D

So even presale wasn't totally awesome? I am wondering because I didn't do it, and I'm hoping I don't have to regret it.

Interesting... but I am doubting tickets in those sections will pop back up. :( I'll still try throughout the day, though... since you never know what can happen.

Yes. :) I woke up right before 10 hoping to score tickets, but no luck. I prefer Raleigh, but I will easily take Charlotte if better tickets come up there. Basically, I am hoping for three tickets in one of the closest three sections (at either Raleigh or Charlotte). We wanted front row, but I'm thinking that it's impossible for the general public to get those. So we'd love to get as close as possible, obviously. Hopefully you or anyone else on this site will be able to help in the coming days, because I've waited for them to come here for a long time.
