"From Dead to Worse" by Charlaine Harris. It's one of the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series (the series that HBO's "True Blood" is based off of). They're quick, guilty-pleasure-type reads.

The sad thing is that I actually liked Matt Giraud during Hollywood week. He was great! But, last night...oh gah, I was cringing I finally just fast-forwarded through his performance because I just couldn't bear to listen to that song be butchered like that. Nobody on AI should sing Coldplay songs...they should just be off limits.

You know you're addicted to Coldplay when... a.) You listen to all of their CDs/B-Sides/mp3s constantly and shun the radio stations b.) Try to convert your loved ones and friends c.) Seriously consider blowing the down payment you were saving on a new Toyota Prius for kick-azz seats at the nearest Coldplay live concert! uh.... d.) All of the above (and more) I choose d.

Well, since I'm a girl, all the higher-pitched Coldplay songs don't bother me, but anything that's low (Yes, Violet Hill..etc...etc...) are hard for me to sing because they are so dang low! :D

I had never heard of Elbow before. I went to Youtube and listened to some of their stuff....and I like them. :) Not as much as Coldplay, of course, but they're alright!

To me, pop band = girl band/boy band (like NSync, Backstreet Boys, Pussycat Dolls). Their music is mostly synthesized, they have group dance moves, and the concerts are mostly lip-synced. Coldplay would NEVER fit the mod of "pop band" to me. But, I sort of agree with what Chris Martin said during one of their acceptance speeches at the Grammy's. They're not exactly rock...more like limestone. ;D

Wow...I just read who won awards and I'm SHOCKED!!! Elbow? Who are they?! Girls Aloud over Coldplay? Are you f'in kidding me?! Katy Perry best International Female Artist?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh. That was for real? *pukes* I feel bad for Coldplay. No love from their own country. Coldplay, if any of you guys are reading this....you are ALL amazing!!!! Your music transcends everything!
