  1. Okay Houston, show the boys how much South Texas loves them tonight !!!! Post pics and videos if you can. HAVE FUN !!!!!
  2. Oh man, it MUST be late, because I thought I read the following: :o
  3. Sounds like you had a great time! And regarding your quote above, I was thinking the same thing. I can't recall a band I've seen live that had such a diverse demographic range of fans as Coldplay did in Dallas. We had kids a few rows in front of us, probably about 10 years old, and folks just to the side of us that looked about 50-55. Everyone was singing and clapping along. It's great to have that kind of connection with a band, and with each other.
  4. Glad you enjoyed them. :) Actually, I loved being in the back seats. The ones up front were really great, and it seemed the boys were only a stone's throw away, but the sound was very muddy and since the seats were edge-on, the light show wasn't as bright or powerful. Again, it was only because of my angle. On the second night when I was in the veeeery back (as far back and up as you can get), the light show was something out of a science fiction film. UNBELIEVABLE !! And there was a 3D effect to the entire place when the lights went out and the Xylo Bands started to glow, since I was so high up and toward the back looking down, and since the round mini-screens were at the top of the arena broadcasting the video, it seemed like a 3D color and light extravaganza, almost as if the screens were "floating", and the Xylo Bands seemed that way as well. And the sound was much, much, much, much better. I used to only sit in the back at concerts because it was all I could afford. Believe me, if you can't afford the primo seats up front for a Coldplay show, sitting in the back will appeal to all of your senses. There's not a bad seat in the house in my opinion to see these guys live, so if you're stuck in the back, so to speak, don't worry, your head will explode with what you'll see and hear from the band.
  5. My YouTube video highlights of the show :) Unfortunately I used a different camera to film and the sound came out positively dreadful. But, perhaps you'll at least enjoy the light show.... 6. I thought the sound was much better tonight. Maybe it was just because yesterday I sat up close and tonight I sat in the back, but the sound was much clearer and I could really hear Johnny's guitar soaring through the arena. Another fabulous, energetic, entertaining, amazing performance by these guys. It's hard to believe the opening round of shows in Dallas has ended. To those of you attending the Houston shows next week, you're in for an incredible treat. Post your photos and videos and keep us all in the loop. Enjoy every second of it !! Have a blast !!
  7. Okay, here are a few I took tonight. Sat waaaaaaaay in the back, but WOW, the light show was absolutely incredible. YouTube video to follow.....
  8. Tracie, thanks for posting all those AWESOME PHOTOS !!!!! I'm posting a few of mine shortly.....good stuff !!!!
  9. Added a few enhancements to my highlights: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDTk2K6Y8Ts&feature=player_detailpage]Coldplay - Dallas, TX 6-22-2012 - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS - Mylo Xyloto U.S. Tour - YouTube[/ame]
  10. We can try and make it to Neo's before the show. Here's more information about the place. It's only a couple of blocks down from the arena: http://www.neopizzeria.com/
  11. Sounds good to me. We might eat somewhere on the strip within the American Airlines Center for dinner. There is a great pizza place within there (Neo Pizza), Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues, etc. If anyone has ideas post them here so we can all say hi before the show :D There's also a little place called "Shooters" just outside the AA strip (facing the back) to have a drink afterwards. If anyone sees Chris Martin, please let him know I'm begging him to sing at my wedding and I'll be his personal slave for life. It will help me keep in good standing with my future Misses....
  12. My YouTube video compilation...:D Starts out shaky, gets better as it goes! 13. Excellent performance tonight !! The guys were as energetic and entertaining as always. Also, we got to hang with the lovely Allegra from the forum! What a great night! Here are a few photos I took. YouTube videos to follow after some much needed sleep :D
  14. Traffic is a nightmare coming in from Austin !!!! :-( Allegra, hope to catch up with you at some point, but it's a madhouse out here...
  15. I've attended a few concerts there over time, and never had a problem bringing in a point-and-shoot digital camera. They made us empty our pockets for security checks, but never took our cameras. Unless that has changed recently, you should be okay. I have a camera I'm taking too. Hope to record the second night in Dallas on audio.
  16. So are we....section 121, row T. We'll help you down the stairs....:D
  17. Fly safely Coldplay, we're welcoming you with open arms here in TX !!
  18. Friday night: Section 121, Row T (front side of the stage) Saturday night: Section 318, Row 7 (waaaaaaaaaaay at back ) Let's all keep in touch so we can meet up beforehand if possible. It would be great to meet some fellow Coldplayers before the big event. :)
  19. Alright, here we go !!!! Coldplay invades North America this Friday and DALLAS is their first stop !!!! Let the madness begin....:D:D
  20. Hey Colin - you'll have a great time !! These shows all have reserved seats as far as I know. Whatever seat is listed on your ticket, that's the seat you will occupy. There's no General Admission spots here in the states unless otherwise specified for the show itself. Now in those big European stadiums it's different, you pretty much buy a ticket and sit anywhere you like (which is why the early birds get up front).
  21. I'm up front in section 121 the first night, and waaaaaay in the back in section 318 the second night. Two different perspectives! :laugh3:
