  1. [email protected] which is your address, I think (maybe it was [email protected]) but don't worry, you didn't missed much........... If the PM was bad, the email was even worst........ I was terribly paranoid (I still am)
  2. nevermind! But It took you 2 days to realised that, and 2 emails and so on............... that bit sounds a bit strange to me! but again, nevermind :D
  3. yes..i would have to say that the world does seem to be getting more stupid…strange…we have apparently ‘advanced’ in so many things yet things are getting worse. In a way we have become intelligently stupid. The human race has created more intelligent ways to be stupid. Ingenious methods have been created, and are currently in use in a lot of ‘developed nations’ , to restrain and manufacture consent within a society. However its not totally the fault of an individual, yes they have a responsibility for educating themselves but look around……almost everywhere we look stupidity is encouraged but I do believe we all have the capacity to be intelligent. The meaning of life?....hmm…well one could argue that the meaning of life would be to reproduce…and maybe this is so, biologically speaking..however if this was the sole reason than humans would be more efficient at it, as in: why would an infant take so long to mature compared to other creatures. In my opinion, the meaning to life, on a social level, is to have the ability to initiate responsible actions which leads to responsible outcomes. whats ur opinion? I don't like to think about 'The meaning of Life'. I usually asky myself things about literature, and physics and history, but asking myself that I think it leadsme to no where. For me there is no 'meaning of Life' but my own life it has a meaning, of course. For me it means that from the very first day we are not born free, as some people argue me, and that you are almost oblied to go on and on, regardless of wether you wanted it or not................................. and I think I'm writing just rubbish so I will nto write anymore (neither erased it)
  4. Quite the same here, except this year I have seen Santa with short pants! Finally someone has realised that yu can't wear that big red suit with 40ºC! I couln't care less anyway, I can't remember having celebrate Christmas. I would like to know how it's done in Israel, I could never asked Maya that!

Friday 7 p.m. Mrs. Me was oblied to go to a Graduation Ceremony, which was more of a social event, than anything else. She found many people that she didn't knew, and didn't took the time to know them either, and some people that she had seen before. Everytime one of them approached, she tried to escape, but when the conversation was inevitable, she just putted her best face and smiled. Everyone asked her the same question, How are you? She kindly replied "Fine, Thanks for asking" to all of them and tried either to escape or to make the conversation more agreedable. When they all left, she couldn't stop thinking why everyone asked her the same thing. No one really cared, but everyone uses a phrase which means so much, is so few words. - How are you? - Doing fine, how are you? - Fine aswell. -Ah, that's good. Can't that be any more typicall and superficial? When you ask a person how is he or she, you are getting a step closer to them. A "I am fine" doesn't say much, but a "why are you fine?" will tell you so much about someone. Unfortunately, the use of the phrase has masified so much that it's values has beent twisted and twisted and twisted and now it's just a way of starting a conversation. Nothing more than that. She thought and thought and realized that she barely used the phrase "How are you?" - Maybe, that's the reason why I never get those casual talks that start with the famous "How are you?", she thought
  7. ah! I see! Thank you :D
  8. ah, now you talk about cancer, I have always haved a question; what's the relation between nicotine and cancer? I know it's addictive, but I don't see whats the connection :/
  9. and what about those people that get tanned and then back to white? What happens with the melamine and the ultra-violet rays?
  10. I dn't know what they are going to do with the money either, that's why I say that we need to get informed first, demand the information and thanks :D
  11. I have entitled this "Please Do not buy "Live Aid 20" because I think it is crutial that before you say to someone "ah, I bought this new singles which will help the people in Daffur, Sudan", you get informed. Just in case you hadn't really got it.
  12. Dear Coldplayers: I read this morning on BBC online, Entretainment section, a news which probably most of you know, but I wasn't aware of it, entirely. There is a single coming out this Christmas, I don't know exactly when they are going to release it, and it's entitled "Live Aid 20". "Live Aid 20" is the 'modern' version of the single "Live Aid", which was released 20 years ago, and it was a huge success at the time. It was dedicated to the Ethiopian people that were dying from starvation. The 'new' version is dedicated to the people in Daffur, Sudan. I do not believe that the people working in this single want to make proffit out if it, but I do think that they don't know what they are doing. I haven't said it once or twice, I've said it many times: To give them money it's a very short term solution, and I'm not even sure If it will benefit them. Just thinking that when you buy the single you are helping the people there, it's not good. What do they do with the money? Where does it go to? I don't ask this questions because I think they are stealing it, but because what's the so-great thing that they are doing? why aren't we being informed? (well, there is the probability that I'm the only one who doesn't know). Over the years, we have seen how these massive programs do not work as you would expect. For me, the clearest example in why the first "Live Aid" single was made; for the people in Ethiopia. How are they now? Better than before? How many are they know? Twice as much! Morally, everyone thought they had to keep them alive, but didn't we just fed them? Problems are not solved like an apple falling from a tree. They need time, thinking and hard work. Throwing them food from airplanes or raising huge amounst of money does not help them If you haven't got a plan, otherwise it's just a placebo.
  13. to you though, but to me it was really great  Today I runned 10 kms to raise funds for a Disable kids organization (I don't know hw you put it in english, but are those that help people with disabilities, giving them treatment). I had to have 10 sponsors and they would pay an $x amount of money for every kilometre that I runned, and I did the 10, which was the maximmun. I was paid one pound per kilometre (x10x20) and we were about 40 runners, so I had the greatest time. What caled my atention was the sun. It was so hot (we are in summer, but regardless of that, the sun is never as strong as it was today) and I was wearing short pants and socks and now I have them marked in my skin (sun-burn) and well as my t-shirt. Anyway (3 paragraphas for a simple and single question) why does the skins gets dark after it -not my case really- when the colour is suppose to be determinate by your melamine -that's the name you give it to it in english?- what does the sun exactly does?
  14. ah, someone has gone to the bar after England's desastrous game
  15. ah! I am not liking your solutions! but thanks anyway :P the problem is he doesn't want me to go there, to that place, he'll pay the same amount in Italy, Wales, Sweden or Canada but not in Swaziland (don't ask me why, because I don't even know the reason) guess I'll have to use my ever-lasting charm
  16. I ask myself the same question  (and think of ppor man disguised of Santa) Me is from Chile, also down south :D
  17. I promess I would do almeost any job If I could, and I can't do that
  18. $ 19,000 ..... don't laugh! that's the reminidin 75%, I already got a sponsor who will pay me 25% (it's $ 25, 000) and I would work If I was old enough to get hired :dozey:
  19. but I need to raise US$19.000 for my schooling and I have no idea how. I have exactly a year and If I don't, it'll be my parents sucess (because they don't what me to go to Swaziland) and I'll have to go either to Britain or Italy, so... any ideas?
  20. Someone told me something the other day, which I can't quote at the moment but it's something like this "The problem with the so called 'Democracy' that Americans want to instore in the world (we were talking about Irak) is that they believe it works just the way it does in the U.S.A; they do not take into a count the country's 'personality' and the culture where they want to instore it" and that's true because according to your point of view the countries in the ex Soviet Union are bad, they are not developed, they are actiolly is serious monetary problems, so they are bad, as you put it, and the countries that the U.S.A helped (regarless of that) are good, because they are economicaly developed; let's me tell you that in Japan people is not very happy, even though they are developed, and in Germany.... I haven't heard very good things either; so, what's really good for you? Before you start critisising and telling everyone that they are wrong, leave us clear what you are talkign about. You might tell me that wasn't your point and that I understood wrongly, but when that happens, you have to think "Did I put that in a clear way?". ah, and talking about democracy (which was the point at the beginning) I assure you, I could bet you on this, that Irakies will bnot be better with your democracy, that there won't be any democracy and that to get that (democracy) you first have to have a strong leader, a s trong goverment and strong people, not like are seeying now. And after that, you need educated people. Get me that, and we might talk about what could happen there.
  21. bet you they can!
  22. ah no! He would try to get some money first, while my two sumos prepare a special jump and make Ian end up like a pankacke! (and then they wouldn't need to kick him)
  23. talking about that, I would hire two sumos and kick Ian, so I can stay with his million! :smug:
  24. Or take a ship and travel around Thaty's what I would do, If I could :) (since you are studying medicine, I would take the chance and work for MSF)
  25. uh, I would take my brothers to the Rugby World Cup in Fidji (I don't know when it is though) and I would invest the rest, so I could multiply my money (well, the million dollars is already a lot of money here) and I would multiply it until I have enough money to buy like 1/4 of my town and I would put an Olive oil making company and would build a couple of stadiums (so I could play hockey and my brothers rugby here) and the other half I would invest in Swaziland, in a boarding school for people that earn less than a dollar a day. I would need a lot more than a Million though, a lot more!
