Well yeah they are kind of activisty and popular enough for the teacher to suggest, that's true. I would just worry about How You See The World No. 2 because the lyrics are slightly obvious, there might not be enough room for legit interpretation exactly. I mean you can sort of just list the lyrics and then go "yep just look at em... they're talking about the world n shit" as opposed to actually offering something a little less obvious.

Twisted Logic would be OK but I think Violet Hill is a bit bland... most people interpret it like as a reference to specific political events now but I think that's sort of cheating, go for one that encompasses more of... humanity, if that makes sense.

I would pick a different band if I were you. Lol, actually let me think... Do it about Such A Rush... it's about humanity's struggle for money in the face of eventual death etc etc etc, you could make some good points about that. (If you agree with my interpretation. :P) Others include Bigger Stronger, Brothers & Sisters, Animals, possibly Spies... Really though, you can make some pretty good points about Such A Rush. Or I can at least. :P

Aw shit I want that. My dad apparently had ALL 6 cello suites on CD and gave them to me as a present... Jesus, they are SO good. Rostropovich was such a good interpretive artist... *whistle* When I first started listening to the one I put on that mix I was literally stunned... hah it's so good. Yeah, Lady GaGa is actually not terrible, I'm not a fan of her work at all but she's higher quality than most pop artists out there, and her ridiculousness is kind of funny and amusing to me. Taylor Swift is fairly good for her genre also. There's no reason to dislike them just because they are huge pop artists in my opinion.

I just picked up The Last Broadcast, the album it's originally off of, on a whim at a secondhand CD exchange store, I'm so glad I did, it took me some time to grow on me but it's sooo good. I think I almost put There Goes The Fear on your mixtape actually :P
