  1. Ouch, yeah that's the second to last row of reserved... but at least you are in the center section, so it definately could be much worse. Hopefully you will get upgraded - I would just keep a look out for semi-suspicious characters who look like they are scoping people out, lol!
  2. "Coldplay roadies explained that Coldplay purchases the first five rows of every American concert they perform then gives the tickets to true Coldplay fans that would energize the band to perform their best, fans who deserved floor seats priced as much as $1,000 a ticket. Who knew?" http://alternativemusic.suite101.com/article.cfm/coldplays_2008_united_states_viva_la_vida_tour Maybe that's why no PIT tickets are available... :P
  3. I was wondering the same thing... Also, do you think this concert will be the same format as the November one? I just don't see how the layout would work at the Woodlands - especially the B and C Stages. I do hope they have those little stages though, and I hope I'm near one, ha!
  4. Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm stoked. No, it was a regular auction - I wish it was buy it now , it would have been less tense, lol. I was sooooo surprised I got it at a regular price. I think it's because the auction ended in the morning when most people are at work, ha :) Of course, I was at work, but had it up in the background, lol. I figured there would be a battle at the end, but I bid once and won!
  5. WAHOO!! I got a ticket :) Section 102, row EE on Ebay! And I only paid $20 over face value :D Yay for being given a second chance to redeem myself for being stupid and not getting the Section 102, row DD seat I pulled up in the presale. So sacraficing one row closer and $20 doesn't seem bad at all. I guess my friends ditching me and not being able to come helped me out since I've been looking for the one ticket, lol. It's actually harder than I thought it would be, since most of the post-general sale tickets for sale are all 2 or above, so I snagged this one. Now I'll just keep a look out for even better seats over the next few months, but If I'm stuck with this one, I'll be happy. As far as meeting the band, it's more likely to happen at the Woodlands than the Toyota Center due to the layout. I met Tori Amos TWICE there when I went with friends who knew about these meet and greets she does before the show. I know the venue has changed a lot, but there is an area to the left of the venue where the buses pull in. So unless this has changed, it might happen if you get there early to mid-afternoon!! They had set up a gate thing, and everyone just kind of lined up there...
  6. Yeah, I know, and they were aisle! I'm stupid  I just went on the theory of when I've tried to get tickets before, if you refresh you usually get better seats (I got row X in Secs 101 and 103, but they were on the outer edges, so not necessarily better). For November, this worked amazingly. My first try I got Floor E Row 14, then I refreshed and got Sec 105 row 6 - basically front row on the side! So it's a gamble... Oh well, I have five months to figure it out, lol...
  7. Damn, well my gamble didn't pay off, lol... That was even worse than yesterday, I'm really surprised! That has to have been the worst ticket selection ever for a concert on the day the tickets go on sale... I've never had that bad luck before :shocked2: Oh well, I guess I should have gone with the Sec 102 DD seats I pulled up yesterday, but that's life I guess. It's crazy to think that the best I was able to pull up were those and Sec 101 and 103 row X (although these were on the way outer edge). To be honest, I love Coldplay, but I just don't have the doe right now to just be buying multiple tickets. Chances are you can resell them and all, but I don't want to risk that. The concert isn't for another five months, so I'll be saving and searching till then :D I've found as it gets closer to the show and some people realise they cannot go, they sell them for near face value. Anyway, I'd rather pay a little more and get a better ticket when I have the cash in a few more months! Ooh, yeah, and that was kind of sketchy how it said 'full pricke tickets' lol... and also if that stupid text we have to enter is supposed to stop scalpers, etc. how come they STILL get the good seats?!
  8. Well that WAS kind of crap! Ugh... I am taking a gamble and just trying again tomorrow... Compared with Toyota Center last year, the selection was awful. I got two seats for the November show in Sec. 105 row 6, right next to the stage - it was amazing! I'm not exactly expecting to be that lucky again, but I'd at least like to be in the lower section... These presales can be hit and miss anyways, since they just have a pool of tickets and they aren't necessarily the best. I can't afford to buy a crap ticket then find out I could get a better one tomorrow! At least with the presale it gives you chances I guess... I got the following offers, but decided to wait.. Some were fairly decent, so I hope I don't regret the decision: Sec. 101, row X Sec. 102, row DD and HH Sec. 103, row X I just hope I don't regret not taking the row X ones, since those were the closest I could get today... The PIT is general admission for this show, so no seats... mmm. I'm thinking I'll have some luck in the general sale. Since none of my (lame) friends what to go this year since it's in the middle of the week and at the Woodlands, I'm just looking for the one ticket I guess...
  9. Ticketmaster now has it listed on their site, so i think you can purchase from either one... I prefer ticketmaster since they have a better checkout process. Well, good luck everyone... I think I'm going to try the presale, but if there arn't very good tickets (a la Dallas), I'll wait for the general sale and try my luck I guess... If all else fails, there is always stubhub and ebay, etc. Just "Don't Panic" :D
  10. Hi everyone! Well, this is my first post and figured it was best to place it in Will's forum. This man is freaking amazing at the drums and any other instrument he touches, and he's quickly become my favourite member. Anyhoo, a little background on myself. I'm a Brit, but live in the States (since '93 when I was 15). I've been a fan of the band since Parachutes, but wish I still lived in ol Blighty back in the late 90's so I could have experienced more of the early stuff! I was soooo happy when they broke the States, especially since now I can see them in concert all the time. They appear to love Texas, so this next concert in Houston will be the 4th time seeing them. I still haven't found a song I dislike, and I have all the B-sides, etc... I wanted to share one of my 'finds' this past weekend while I was visiting friends in Austin. I went to Waterloo Records (which many of you will probably know is one of Will's favourite record shops - he actually mentions it in his 22nd Sept. tour diary thing on BBC 6: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/events/coldplay/) and I found the 'Talk' single from Holland in the Coldplay section! It was only $8.95, which shocked me since it's pretty rare, but the best part is it had ALL 3 singles in the digifold! BONUS! It is used of course, but the discs are in great condition and I think it's my best Coldplay find yet! The live tracks are amazing (esp. Clocks) but the one I wanted to mention was the version of Til Kingdom Come, since it is another track where Will comes to the front! The crowd even cheers and Chris says 'That's for you William!'. I have been enjoying Will's endeavours into lead vocals recently, so this was a nice bonus!! Anyway, wasn't sure if anyone has this or knows of this fact, so thought I'd mention it. Of course, I can share the track if someone tells me how. Thanks for the thread, which, from the bits I've seen, is absolutely hilarious. I'm not quite into Will as much as a lot of you are, LOL, but he's definately my fav of the group! Thanks for reading! Marcus
