21-Jul-09: Superpages.com Center, Dallas, TX - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos
This is such AWESOME timing!!! I just found out that my work trip is cancelled to Seattle, so now I can't go to the Vancouver show, and now PIT seats have opened up for Dallas, so I'm just going to do that instead!! YAY! I can't believe I'll be in the PIT, yikes! Now I just have to try and sell my Vancouver ticket... ugh...

17-May-2009: Lakewood Amphitheatre, Atlanta, GA, USA
There's just too much a flood of tickets I think since they released better seats and everyone is trying to get rid of their other ones, lol. I mean, you search coldplay on ebay and it's almost all tickets... I think all those stupid scalpers will get screwed... I hope so, it will teach them a lesson... As for us honest types, I think once it gets closer to the show, more people will look...

Do you think this music video is similar to The Scientist?
LOL, yeah it reminded me of 'The Scientist' when I first saw it, although it isn't quite as well done and a different scenario. I would think it's more a compliment than a copy...

Fun Random Coldplay Facts
Chris wrote "A Message" in the middle of the night and in the nude after being awoken by his concious to venture downstairs... It was the last track to be added to the album.

They have been known to do upgrades at the shows for fans in the cheap seats. Usually, they grab people on their way to their seats and ask them random Coldplay questions. I'm not really sure of the specifics, but I know it has happened to many people last year. You might want to post in the general forum to see what others can tell you...

Vote for Will as "Greatest Drummer of All Time"
Ah, you are right! I edited the initial post :)

Fun Random Coldplay Facts
All the tracks but "Fix You", "What If" and "Swallowed By The Sea" were on or off "X&Y" at some point during the recording process... Will did not like "Clocks" or "Speed of Sound" upon first listen... He changed his mind once they were mixed. Three of Coldplay's biggest hits almost didn't make it onto their respective albums and were last-minute additions: "Clocks", "Talk" and "Viva La Vida". All three were nominated for Grammys, and two won. I have more, but I'll add as the thread progresses! ;)

Vote for Will as "Greatest Drummer of All Time"
Actually, the more I think about it, Will is a pretty damn good drummer given the fact he just kind of picked them up and never really intended on becoming a drummer (:guitarist:) That in itself is pretty darn cool :smash: Plus, like I said before, I like his quote (now I 'officially' found it!): "I think I’m the best non-playing drummer in the world. No one doesn't play like me." :laugh3:

Well, by his own words, he's the greatest "non-drummer" of all time! :) I'm voting for him, he deserves it!

Yeah, I might get the 'X&Y' AND 'VLV' interview discs in the coming weeks, so excited to have them all if that happens  I love knowing someone in radio, ha! Yeah, I'll have to get some spare time and just rip the whole thing and post it in mulitmedia...

COLDPLAY SHREDS!!!
LOL! WTF:shocked2: Why do people have to f* up perfectly good Coldplay footage...

Random Question
As long as you don't get tickets in the PIT (which isn't really likely), you'll be fine. The Woodlands Pavilion is like a cinema - it gently raises up towards the lawn. So even if your brother is short, he should be able to see over those in front of him. However, if everyone stands up, depending on the height of the people directly in front of you, he might have an issue... I would think it would be ok though. It really depends where your seats are I guess. The further back you are, the more likely he'll be able to see since you'll be higher up.

Has anyone ever been to a Coldplay show by themselves?
I haven't yet, but this Summer will be my first... Due to the days the concerts fall on and the venues, my friends can't make it. Plus they aren't really big fans - so there was no way I'd not go just because I would have to go by myself! Plus, the Vancouver one I'm attending is due to a work trip that just so happened to be at the same time, so I'll be going to three... alone... lol...

~*~ The Official Will Champion Appreciation Thread ~*~
Glad you all liked it!! Well they are from the 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' Interview Disc that was sent out to radio stations and such so they could create a 'fake' Coldplay interview, lol! It has an entire interview, then track-by-track interview, then little intro ID's. I just pulled out all the Will one's to post in here, but all four members are on it. The interviewers voice has been removed and it only has their answers, so it's kind of weird listening to it from beginning to end, ha. You have to look at the booklet for the questions but it's also in the 'Info' section when you make an MP3. It looks just like the 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' album, but it says 'Interview CD' after the title. It has pretty much the same packaging and it's booklet actually looks just like the regular booklet, but instead it contains all the questions and the first and last words of the answers listed in it. It's really nice - on the same quality paper as the album with the same gold/black writing. There are 85 audio clips total and the whole thing is about 70 minutes long! I got it from my friend who knew I loved Coldplay and he does some radio stuff - he's giving me the X&Y one next week when he finds it!!! YAY!!! :D

How far would you travel to see your beloved Coldplay?!
I know! So excited! I was really surprised when they announced that and then I realised they would be in Vancouver too! I could make it 3 times if I go to the June 20th concert also, lol, but I don't think I'll make it :D - event though I hate thinking they are playing there two days in a row and i can probably only go to one...
