Good tickets (well better than pre-sale and general sale) in the lower 100's are still available on Ticketmaster :)

Coldplay Toronto Concert on HD Net
Mmm, I'm logged in, but it says I don't have permission to view the thread!?? Anyone else get this?

10-Jun-2009: AT& T Center, San Antonio, TX, USA
In case anyone's interested, floor tickets are available again, although not stellar ones...

9-Jun-2009: New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA, USA
I wouldn't get mad, I was just guessing, so it could be something completely different... I'm not sure why they suddenly added those though... Maybe it just means you get some extras and VIP Row 9 is the same as Floor Row 9, but you get some drink coupons or something, lol... It could also be like a PIT, which means it would most probably be in front of general floor. I wouldn't fret though... Sounds like you have great tickets. Believe me, anything Row 20-ish or under on the floor is usually great. It is weird though... I'll keep checking here since I kind of want to know myself! I haven't seen this situation at any other show...

I'm not going to this show, but I would figure VIP Floor means it's the first rows of the section, meaning they are better than regular floor seats. If they are row 9 and 10, then I would think they are TRUE row 9 and 10, which are some of the best. They were probably reserved for friends/family or something and got released along with all the other good seats at other shows...

How far would you travel to see your beloved Coldplay?!
Well, by some twist of fate, I have a business trip in Seattle when they will be playing in Vancouver, Canada, so I decided to go the June 21st date. I'm originally from the UK, but live in Houston, TX. Anyway, I don't think I'd make a trip like that JUST to see them... It would have to fit in with other plans...

Is this a real CD?
Well, the audio is technically official... it was recorded for a local radio station here in Houston (for me, it was the only way I could hear the concert since I was in uni in Hawai'i at the time and couldn't attend it). It is amazing audio quality and has some really great parts in it - Chris' guitar doesn't work at one point! Funny how all his mistakes seem to happen in Houston... On the recent tour here, he unplugged Will's guitar while he was singing DWNC! Anyway, Someone just burned it onto CD, so the CD is a bootleg. If you want to download the MP3's, they are included in a coldplayer's personal stash which was posted in the Multimedia section somewhere :wink3: I'll have to see if I can find the link again... The recorded tracks are: Politik Shiver Spies Daylight Warning Sign One I love Don't Panic Everything's Not Lost Moses God Put A Smile Upon Your Face Yellow The Scientist Clocks In My Place Trouble Ladder To The Sun

26-May-2009: Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ, USA
It's happening for a lot of the shows... I'm thinking they are releasing the family/friend tickets or just finally getting approval to release certain seats? It's really weird... Or maybe this was their way of not letting scalpers get the good seats? This way, they would have no clue they went on sale Tuesday (plus nor would we unless we randomly checked like a lot of us did, so not sure...) UGH. I'm happy I at least got upgraded 20 rows at one of the shows I'm going to, but it is a pain to have to then sell the other tickets AND it's annoying how many of the shows had PIT seat released, but not to any I'm going to, grrr...

No. It's just one ticket. I first bought the Sec. 102 Row EE way back. Then, with the release of these tickets, I got the Sec. 102 Row H. So, if my friend doesn't come, and I end up going by myself (like I orginally was doing since no one else could come) then I'll be selling my original ticket - the Sec. 102 Row EE. Sorry for the confusion!

Well, I was going with my friends I went to the Houston show last year, but they can't go since it's mid-week and at the Woodlands, so I just got the one ticket for myself. Then one of the said they might want to go and could I see if I could get a ticket. That's when I found the new released tickets. So I bought the Sec. 102 Row H (since he knew we most likely wouldn't be able to sit together) and now I just need to find out for sure if he's still wanting to come now I have two separate tickets... LOL, confusing I know, but I wasn't going to miss the concert just because they couldn't go. I have no problem going by myself!

I need to find out if my friend is going to go or not. If he isn't I will post in here, and you can have first dibs :) I'll just be selling the one Sec 102, Row EE ticket though, but it is the right aisle seat.

No, there are still tickets available, but they aren't that great... So far SA has not been part of the 'sudden new great ticket release' like the other venues...

Places Coldplay HASN'T visited yet. (And your dreams, ideas, wishes...)
Which would technically be O'ahu, Hawai'i which they haven't played at yet... That REALLY irritated me when I was going to uni there. I had to wait until 2006 to go to my first Coldplay concert since I was there 2001-2005. Oh well, I guess I can't complain as I got to live in Hawai'i for four years :D

Ticket drop! Better seats now available for some shows
Yeah, I upgraded my tickets in Houston 20 rows on Tuesday! Right now, PIT tickets are available in the following locations: West Palm Beach, FL Atlanta, GA Virginia Beach, VA Charlotte, NC Bristow, VA Camden, NJ Hartford, CT Burgettstown, PA East Troy, WI and possibly others... Sucks none of the shows I'm going to are this lucky! Shame I can't go to any of these shows either  I'd love to be in the PIT for just one show, but I can only afford to go to three this year (and one of those just happened to co-incide with a work trip!). I would love to go to the West Palm Beach concert since it's the first one and the PIT is pretty small compared to most of them (only 200 tickets), but no way I can do that, ha. I'm thinking it's something like you said, or they are just releasing some of the tickets they initially held back for friends/family...

17-May-2009: Lakewood Amphitheatre, Atlanta, GA, USA
It happened with many shows it seems... I got upgraded 20 rows in Houston, from Sec. 102, Row EE to Sec. 102 Row H... It's bullcrap in a way, but hey, I should be able to sell the other seat and now I'm center section much closer!

Yay! Glad you got an upgrade too! :D I saw that Sec. 103 Row F too, but it's the aisle seat on the extreme right edge. The Sec. 102 ticket was WAY better, even though it was two rows further back. It's not an aisle seat like my other one, but it's close (only three seats from the aisle), so I can deal with that  Only thing that annoys me is I wonder if they just held back the good seats? I mean nobody could pull these up in the presale and general sale. Then there were no tickets at all for a while. Then all of sudden these ones... It's so weird...

Stage For Outdoor Shows [2009]
Mmm, well I'm just wondering how logistically they are going to do it... I mean, outdoor shows like that in Abu Dhabi had removal seats and all, but most amphitheatres are not... But I did notice most of the pits are general admission, so maybe the pit is where the catwalk goes? I just don't see how they could extent into the general audience like at the arena shows... I've seen seats selling in rows A, B, etc. so they definately are keeping the general amphitheatre layout...

HOLY CRAP! NEW TICKETS RELEASED!!!! GO TO TICKEMASTER NOW!!!! AHHH! I just got upgraded 25 rows!!! I happened to check the Ticketmaster site since my friend said he might want to go, but I remembered last time I looked there were no tickets (not even lawn). Well, I just got Sec. 102 Row H!!!! :shocked2: I had Sec. 102 Row EE already... I can't believe it. You guys should check the site now to see what's available... If my friend doesn't end up wanting to go, I will be selling my Sec. 102 Row EE Aisle seat for face value, so I'll let you guys know in case anyone on here wants to buy it! SOOOO excited right now :D

Latest on Satriani Stupidity
The funny thing is, there are other songs, that came out BEFORE Joe's song, that sound eerily similar to "If I Could Fly" let alone VLV. So does that mean those artists need to sue Joe?! Search on You Tube on the topic and you can find tons of comparisons... The whole thing was just timed right to tie in with the Grammy's it seems to me. I mean, if when he heard it (I presume back in June) and it was sooooo hurtful, then why wait until the Grammy nominations to announce you are filing a lawsuit... Also, why in the world would Coldplay choose to plagiarise a song now?! They have written tons of songs, and what, now 10 years later they decide to risk everything by plagiarising?!?! It just doesn't make much sense to me! I don't care if he's talented or not, he's super sketchy in my eyes and I hope he loses.

Stage For Outdoor Shows [2009]
I think it will be slightly different. I'm wondering if the catwalks will be removed since I don't see where they could go in the amphitheatres? Also, I noticed how the June 21, Vancouver date is the last of the 'arena' shows, then they go back to Europe, and then back in the US for the 'outdoor' shows... So maybe that's why it's separated like that since the stage will change?

21 Jun-2009: General Motors Place, Vancouver, Canada - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists
Oh yay! Thanks, that's really helpful! I really wish they had these sort of things for all venues. Well that means I'm right on the border of section 104 and 105, so that's great! I'll be right lined up with the front of the stage where the catwalk starts :) I just hope the people sitting next to me are nice since i'm right smack in the middle between two aisles, ha!

21 Jun-2009: General Motors Place, Vancouver, Canada - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists
It's the way the sections are split apparently. The aisle goes right through the middle of the section, and it says the aisle seats are 1 and 101. Now, I'm just trying to figure out which way the numbers go for each part... Does anyone remember who has been to a show here before? I think it's weird how it's set up. I don't understand why they didn't just have the aisles between the sections like most venues, rather down the center of them.

I just found out I'm going to be in Seattle that weekend, so decided to look for seats at the Vancouver show. To my amazement, I found Sec. 104 Row 7 and snapped it up for Sunday's show! :D These are actually the best seats I have for any show this year. However, now I feel slightly crazy, since I'm going to THREE shows

Coldplay Whatever it takes
I loooove my mug, it's the prize piece on my desk at work, lol. I have tea in it everyday :) I love the caricatures of the band the most - they crack me up.
