Also, logically the singles will be the most mainstream/poppy/crap out of the whole album, as their purpose is to promote the album to a wider audience than die-hard coldplay fans like us.

All I have to say is wait for the album. There are plenty of unheard songs on MX for them to redeem themselves.

I'm scared about PoC. God I hope Rihanna's part is small and not overpowering...

I'm surprised by how many people are rating ETIAW higher than Paradise. I don't like either very much either, but I definitely think Pardise is the better of the 2. Of course, to each their own!

I personally think CK will be a hidden track after UATW, so I don't think you're crazy.

From what we've heard about Up In Flames, it will be amazing and will deserve a video.

Mylo Xyloto is going to be a full song, we've only heard a snippet of that. I am going to avoid listening to UIF and DLIBYH. There isn't a good enough quality version of PoC out for that to count. So just Paradise, HLH, MM, ETIAW, CB, and UATW.

I don't think they'll play LiTII, and probably not Strawberry Swing, but other than that, I think this seems pretty reasonable.

From what I've heard, Up In Flames will be among my favorite Coldplay songs. Anything else and I'll be disappointed!

I don't think that's good reasoning. It was posted a long time ago, I don't think anybody really knew what would/wouldn't be on the album back then.

I don't think ETIAW should be on it, but I'm fine with MM. Not because I hate ETIAW (I don't, just not a huge fan), but I just don't think it fits in with the rest of the songs we've heard. We'll see.

But they could still be back to back in the tracklisting...

I understand them not buying it for you, but what about your own money? I've yet to decide if it'll be a waste of money (obv depending on cost).

If it ends up being ~$75, I vote they offer it for ~$55 without the Vinyl! Won't happen, but still.

I can't really make that decision when I haven't heard MX yet. Even then, not a fair comparison. Let's review this when it is LP1-3 vs LP4-6.
