    What are you implying, exactly?
  2. You know, Kat, sometimes people take a while to find out what they want to do. I knew a guy in the music department who switched his major to music education in his fourth year of college. He graduated in the spring of 2009, and he's now the head director of a high school band in a small town. It's OK to take your time and explore a little bit before you make up your mind.

Ehhh. I'm not sure if this is really my cup of tea. I kinda got annoyed after I heard the line "When I'm with you, I have fun" a copious amount of times.
  4. Right now, it's not as cold as it was yesterday. However, weather reports are saying it will snow. People are expecting school to be closed tomorrow. I personally am not getting my hopes up.
  5. ^ HAHAHAHA. I didn't even know that existed. That's legit. :awesome:
  6. Muse and Lady Gaga? Uhhhhh. I don't know how I feel about this. :anxious:
  7. I just looked at the post I made here about a year ago, and I don't think I was elaborate enough. I'm kinda doing what I once wanted to do, but not really. I've always wanted to help people learn things. Teaching was something that I pretty much had in my mind what I wanted to do. It merely put itself in a different direction than I thought it might. As mentioned in the self-quote, when I was young, I wanted to teach younger kids. When my brothers and I would play with our stuffed animals, we'd separate them into families and pretend to have class with the "children" of the families sometimes. When I started taking piano lessons in the 4th grade, I became intrigued, and I decided that maybe I should be a piano teacher instead. When band came around in the 6th grade and I was introduced to the horn, everything changed. The whole band experience showed me that this is something that I truly love, and this is something that I'm destined to do. By the end of 8th grade, I had decided for sure that I was going to be a band director, and that's what I'm on the path of doing right now. :nice:
  8. Wow, you all are so interesting. Too bad I can't really say the same. I haven't travelled a whole lot. I've never left the country, and I've only once gone to a place where it was pretty much required me to go by plane. Given that, I have to say California. My high school band went there my senior year for our band trip, and we were selected to be the Texas representative in the annual Rose Bowl parade. We were there for three (maybe four) days, and it was the most amazing experience. We went to Disneyland and Universal Studios and did all sorts of amazing things there. I'm a small-town Texan girl, and even though I've been to Houston on several occasions, that was nothing compared to Los Angeles. It's so busy there. :dead: We did some much in so little time. I'm not sure if I want to live in an area like that, but I would LOVE to visit again.
  9. ^ Is that you or the Daleks talking? Wow, this thread is so messed up. It brightened my morning, though, so I shall accept it.
  10. OOOH, I like concept albums. :wacky:

OK, see, I would NEVER sacrifice my CD collection for such things. I love them way too much. D:

I'll stand on the corner of North Street and hold up a sign saying, "Will work for plane tickets" or something.
  13. Violet replied to mc_squared's topic in The World Of Music
I'm not so check on either, honestly. :disappointed:
  14. Violet replied to mc_squared's topic in The World Of Music
We should protest that. We'll get passports, buy tickets, and make picket signs.
  15. Violet replied to mc_squared's topic in The World Of Music
Awww, no, don't do that.
  16. Haha, OK. :awesome: I have yet to see that, so I still don't get it. /bad Muser. :disappointed:
  17. So, what you're saying is, if your teacher got a haircut, he would look like Chris Wolstenholme? IS THIS WHAT YOU MEAN?
  18. Violet replied to mc_squared's topic in The World Of Music
That would kinda make me sad.

Kind of? That doesn't sound very reassuring, especially after your comment about Coachella. Agreed. Have a lovely time, Kelly!
  20. ...Wait, what? :freak: Are you serious?
  21. ^ Whoever tells you that needs a smack across the face. Just sayin'.
  22. This is very well put, and I wholeheartedly agree with it. Yes, you may feel a moral obligation to not accept it, but they felt a moral obligation to give you what was owed to you. I think, out of respect, you should take it and do whatever you want with it.
