PIRATES AND NINJAS, FUCK THA OTHER THREAD
NINJAS FTW. My friend and I are going to dress as a pirate and ninja for our costume party in one of my classes tomorrow. It's going to be awesome.

To your knowledge, did one/both of your parent(s) want you aborted?
My parents waited for about a decade before having me. I'm their first child, and I was perfectly planned. :nice: I do have a friend, however, that was not so fortunate. She told me that she was a birth control baby (meaning that whatever birth control her parents were using was defective), and the doctor has actually told her parents to consider aborting her because she would supposedly end up being a retarded, deformed child. Her parents ignored her, and my friend is perfectly fine. So yeah.

Muse Week. Totally. (Going On Right Now!)
Yeah, I'm sorry about that, guys. Lore told me about a week before that she couldn't do Day 6, and I never found a replacement. I was going to do Day 7 after Alina told me she couldn't do it, but my brother came home this weekend from college, and I wanted to spend time with him, so that didn't happen, either. At any rate, I want to thank everyone for making Muse Week what it was. I'm glad you guys have been so receptive to it. This went much better than I could've expected. :nice:

MuseWeek Day 4: Black Holes and Revelations
Awwwww, LOL. That is very selective. :blank: Me, I can play Muse (among other things) on several instruments. ("Collateral Damage" sounds nice on flute. :nice:) Well, he's your brother. It's his job. Well, I haven't tried saxophone since then; it's grouped with oboe and bassoon in Woodwinds 2. We'll see what happens. Thanks, that's very reassuring. :blank: :nice:

Sufjan Obsessed Disorder
Yeah, I thought the title sounded nice, and unlike a lot of his songs, it fits within the character limit.

MuseWeek Day 4: Black Holes and Revelations
Mine too! It was my favrotie of the album when I first bought it. :awesome: That trumpet solo is one of my favorite parts. :nice: Haha, awww! It's OK; buzzing is something that can take quite a bit of work. I remember how funny it felt to me when I was first learning how to play horn. It tickled. Man, I thought your brother was cool. I've been proven otherwise. :disappointed:  WOLSTY YAY. That's what I love about SMBH. AAAAAAAHAHAHA. It's funny BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. :laugh4: Disclaimer: There are exceptions. However, generally speaking, trumpet players think they're better than everyone else. They're not bad once you get used to it. Instruments just take time to learn to master. As a wind player (I'm a music education major at my university, and horn is my primary instrument), I've just gotten used to how to play things, and as far as those types of instruments go, I've never had a real challenge with anything I've encountered. Now, string instruments are a different story entirely... Well, apparently, Muse didn't care what he did, so why should your brother? I understand your brother's frustration, though, because that IS technically incorrect. Actually, when I tried out all the instruments in the beginning of 6th grade, I had a much easier time on clarinet than saxophone. :wtf: Ionno. Flute is really fun to play. I absolutely love it. I have yet to take Woodwinds 2, so I can't tell you much about double reed instruments. However, I did have a friend of mine (who is an oboe major) tell me that bassoon is a really weird instrument to learn, particularly if you are really accustomed to a different instrument. Yeah, that's why the fingertips should be used. It's true, too. I've discovered that with my own experience. It doesn't affect the tone quality of teh instrument, though, so it's whatever. I'm worried about taking Woodwinds 2 for that very reason. Double reeds. :wreck: Generally speaking, I think they are, yes. Yeah, Christina, thanks for being the great band person while I was gone. :laugh4:

"Take a Bow" is epic. I will say that "Invincible" is a TAD cheesy, but I like cheese, so it's all good.

True. It was like this with Facebook, anyway. It's not like that with sites like MySpace.
