Tonight, I promise!!! I'm sorry, I'm really busy shopping and packing and such because I leave for a festival tomorrow where I'll be camping for 5 day :awesome: So as soon as I'm done doing that stuff I get those pics to you :D Just at the very end, when Serge jumped off the stage and came up to the barrier. He was about 3 people away from me but I managed to just get a quick touch of his leather jacket :wacky: That's the first time I've actually touched a member from a band I've gone to go and see!!! :awesome: Only once or twice, plus the time he came over really close to shine one of the lights onto the security guard! :laugh3: Unfortunately my camera took too long to get ready for me to catch it on camera though

Ahhhh difficult question, there are quite a few clashes... my most anticipated acts are probably Florence + the Machine, Mumford & Sons, The Temper Trap, Foals, Grizzly Bear, Two Door Cinema Club, Delphic, The Strokes, Gypsy and the Cat and Surfer Blood. Haha that's so many! :bomb: Lucky I have three days to see them all :awesome:

Mostly, my Splendour in the Grass tickets!!! So excited for that, I leave on Wednesday! But today I got a tea set, some $$, some soap, a random cute little bear and even a ukulele from one of my college friends :inquisitive:  'twas a good day, I had a picnic in the botanical gardens with a group of friends and then my roommate cooked me dinner :cheesy:

^^That's ok! :D Track 07 - For some reason I just don't like strong Australian accents in music. It has to sound really good for me to like it! Track 11 - ooooooh I've downloaded some of Zemy's stuff before! Thinking back, I think it might be in the remix of Life in Technicolor II, with the extended intro. That's why it was so familiar!!

Oh really? When's the release date?? Yeah, not a whole lot of difference between the gigs. Though I'm slightly more sore after this one, but maybe that's just because I was too psyched for BDO to notice :P And they did play Julie and the Mothman, it was about fourth in the setlist. Otherwise I would've been really disappointed!

Haha, I never thought of it that way! It's probably not that cold compared to what they're used to anyway :P Ugh, I've just been looking up the weather for woodford and although the actual festival days look like they should only be a bit cloudy, it's meant to rain on Wed and Thurs. Fingers crossed the weather changes its mind!!!

Ahh, that's so cool that you got to meet them!! *jealous* Just got back from Kasabian! No way am I going to be able to sleep anytime soon!! They were just as good as last time :wacky: Not a bad crowd either, about 6000 I think. I was in the lucky minority who were close enough to the stage to stay dry because it started raining the second the band walked on stage! I was first row, at pretty much the same place I was when I saw them earlier in the year. Six months earlier actually, to the day! The only difference to the setlist to last time (except for the order - they opened with Shoot the Runner, and the encore was Fire, Vlad then LSF [best encore EVER]) was that they replaced Processed Beats with Reason is Treason... which was slightly sad because Processed Beats is really fun but I was thrilled to hear Reason is Treason live! This time I didn't get to walk away with anything cool like a plectrum (;)) But I did touch Serge's jacket!! :wacky: And, as usual, sore calf muscles, a sore throat and ringing ears. Wouldn't have it any other way though :D A couple of people walked away with microphones, lucky them :surprised: Little Red supported, they were great!

^^Haha, I was literally seeing them at the moment you wrote that! Anyway, AWESOME NIGHT! Tom was on fire ( sorry) as usual. It was great, because the moment Kasabian walked onstage it started raining! But I was front row and under the cover of the stage so I didn't get wet. I was positioned slightly left to Serge, but I got pushed further left as the night went on. I was jealous though cos Tom seemed to be paying the other side more attention than mine... he even gave the crowd TWO MICROPHONES, neither of which I got :disappointed: because he gave them to the other half. A tamborine also got thrown into the crowd at some point :wacky: Anyway, they played an awesome set, the setlist looked something like this (a little unsure about the order in the middle): Shoot the Runner Underdog Where Did All The Love Go? I.D. Swarfiga Julie & The Mothman Reason is Treason Thick As Thieves Empire Take Aim Fast Fuse Doberman Stuntman Club Foot ENCORE: Fire Vlad the Impaler LSF (most epic encore EVER) I was thrilled to hear Reason is Treason, because they didn't play that last time I saw them. I missed out on a setlist, because the girl next to me was whining about how she asked for one... but I asked first b*tch! :( Ahh well. Anyways, highlight of the night... during the end of LSF Tom had us singing the tune, and I think both of the girls next to me weren't singing (and I was [best I could anyway... my voice was pretty shot by the end though, as I type this my throat hurts and my ears are ringing ]). Anyway, Tom looked at me and smiled and I swear he maintained eye contact for like 4 SECONDS :bomb: Which I know doesn't sound like much, but it REALLY WAS :wacky: It was like a "hey I appreciate that you're singing because you clearly know this song well therefore you are awesome" kinda look. And I just grinned and waved (why? I don't know :disappointed:) like a fool :D But it was AWESOME. I just realised it's 6 months, to the day, since I saw them last! :P I have to get to bed now, have a big day tomorrow. But I'll upload some pics when I next can! (I think I've got the worst concert-camera in the world  but there are some good(ish) ones!) EDIT: OH AND I TOUCHED SERGE'S JACKET :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

Review of Twisted mind's Mixtape: Track 01 – I’ve been trying to find a word to describe this sort of song for ages... “atmospheric” springs to mind but I’m not sure that makes sense :P Anyway, this song is very gentle and calming, a very pretty song with a great chorus that sounds full of emotion. “Jesus Christ on fire”... interesting lyrics  A very nice song, I loved the chorus. Track 02 – Maracas, base, guitar: good start to the song! Male singer, with a nice voice. Lots of background noises, again a song that I would probably describe as “atmospheric” :P Track 03 – The vocalist has some kind of accent that sounds familiar in this one. A great pop song with pretty lyrics about dancing; lots of piano, guitar and good drumming. I like  Track 04 – Starts of with some interesting sounds – it sounds like someone’s playing with the song on a DJ turntable, scratching it and rewinding it and such. This kinda becomes just a part of the song, it fits really well. A male and female duet, both with nice voices. Some cool-sounding synths in the middle. And a trumpet! Kinda seems out of place, but also kinda fits :P I quite like this one a lot! Track 05 – U2! You accidentally left the artist information on this one, but either way it’s unmistakeably Bono’s voice. I don’t actually know this U2 song but it’s very interesting, with tribal/war drums, and... trumpets again? Some kind of similar instrument. This song is really cool, I love how I’ve never really heard anything like it before! In the middle there are sounds like a radio being adjusted, towards the end there’s a trombone or something and the song sounds like pure chaos, but in a good way. Track 06 – Starts off with some very nice piano chords, and suddenly a very strong voice starts singing... in German? Russian? I’m not sure :shame: haha. It sounds a little cheesy in the verse but then there’s a surprisingly epic chorus complete with piano, strings and drums. For a song I can’t understand, I really like it :wacky: especially the part at the end with the chorus singing along. Track 07 – Some more interesting sounds at the start of this one. Some I can’t describe, then there’s the synths and then strings! I love strings. The instrumentals in this song are quite long, but I really liked them! The singer has a nice voice but sings with a really strong Australian accent, which I don’t like so much. But the awesome instrumentals made it all better  Track 08 – A female vocalist this time. Again, singing in another language (the same one? I can’t tell :disappointed: More strings and synths, which is great because I love both of those things! Then the base starts, with the vocalist singing and wailing in the background. The song builds up to an awesome ending, it sounds quite dramatic. Then it trails off quietly and gently. Track 09 – Really deep bass in this one. It sounds somewhat familiar, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard the song before. I loved the second half of this song, one of my favourites on the mix :D Track 10 – A song by Chicane, off the album Somersault! No, I don’t actually know it, you just left the album art on this one :P This was another of my favourites, a really nice song. Great vocals, great melody. Track 11 – Starts of with nice guitar and piano – good so far! I like this singer’s voice, and there are some really nice lyrics. For some reason the second half/ending of this song is extremely familiar. I’m absolutely certain I’ve heard the section from 3:54 – 4:30, but I don’t know the rest of the song. Weird. Track 12 – This song was probably my least favourite on the mix. It was still good, it had some nice melodies and some great sounds in it! It was just a little long, I think I’d have to be in the right mood when listening to it to really enjoy it. There were guitars, some type of wind instrument, strings. Track 13 – It was almost a relief to hear vocals again! Some really sad, but really nice piano at the start, which was maintained throughout the song. The singer sounded terribly sad. But it was a beautiful song nonetheless, and a great way to finish off the mixtape. I know this mixtape wasn't designed for me but I really liked it! The songs each had something in them that made them different to the rest (if you know what I mean), but they also flowed really well. A loved how a lot of the songs had piano, synths and/or strings, as I love those in songs. Great job, really looking forward to the tracklisting now :awesome:
