Jade and Lily's thread : if you're bored come say "hello"
Bye, Celien! Discovered a couple yeah, though I already knew most of the bands I went and saw. Ahh that sucks, I'm in the process of trying to change jobs. It's such a pain. I'm actually trying to wirte cover letters right now :P Ah no I'm not on holidays, my second semester started two weeks ago. What about you?

Florence + The Machine
OK, so it's a couple of weeks since I saw her, but OH MY GOD she is AMAZING live!! Her overall stage presence was incredible, her voice/dancing/overall performance had me captivated throughout the entire performance, I was completely mesmerized  Unfortunately I've been having computer troubles of late so it'll be a while before I can upload my pics/vids :( Though my avi is from the show :D I was second row!

Richard Ashcroft - Solo Work & United Nations of Sound
Haha, Richard Ashcroft threw a huge tantrum at Splendour! He pretty much attacked a photographer and stormed off the stage halfway through the first song! I know someone who went to see him, he was extremely disappointed, poor guy.

Jade and Lily's thread : if you're bored come say "hello"
Oh, yes :wacky: I saw Kasabian on the 25th July, then Splendour in the Grass was 30th July - 1 August (saw so many amazing bands, it was AWESOME!!!), and on Friday night I saw Art vs Science (you've probably never heard of them, they're a pretty new band but they're pretty well known here). I'm meant to have another gig on next weekend, but I can't go anymore  Then I think my next one is Muse, in December, but hopefully some other acts pop up before then  I'm so addicted, it's terrible :shame: So I'm rather tired and still recovering from Splendour, but otherwise I'm great :D How are you??

Yeah, I hope the LP lives up to the ridiculous amount of hype it will build! I think it will, and it will probably be popular to the mainstream audience too :\

Maybe, but the crowd absolutely loved them. It was hard not to really :P I think they were better received than Tim & Jean. :stunned:

Official Aussie Music Fan Thread
Went and saw Art vs Science on Friday night, WOO what a show! They've moved along a lot since I saw them earlier in the year at Good Vibes, they're great at involving the crowd and getting them dancing! Maybe a little too much, as I ended up having a few crowd-surfers pulled out over the top of me (I was front center) and ended up with one actually on top of me, causing me to hit my head on the barrier, haha. I have a nice purple spot there now :P Anyway, the support acts were Jinja Safari and Tim & Jean, both of which were great, but Jinja Safari were exceptionally good. I saw them at Splendour too, their energy onstage is amazing; I found myself grinning like a fool throughout their entire set  Anyway, you guys should check them out, their debut EP is released this Friday. Jade and Lily's thread : if you're bored come say "hello"
OK one more post :P Hey Lily! Sorry to leave so soon :P Yep! I love it :D I'm first year so haven't actually used needles yet, suppose I'll cross that bridge when I come to it :P It's chinese, I'm technically studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is basically acupuncture with a few extra things thrown in. Well, he had over 1000 posts so I'm guessing he's already been in the Lounge. But still. Anyway, goodnight everyone!
