Got mah tix on Friday :D
  2. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to catching their set at Splendour!
  3. Epic list! Did you end up getting the Cloud Control album Alex? What did you think? I've only been able to listen to it once so far but I thought it was very good, particularly the first half.
  4. :awesome: Julian Casablancas - Left Right and in the Dark
  5. :blank: That's a lot of gigs! Are they all within a few days of each other? That sucks re the Strokes :( Did you get PF tix?
  6. Yeah, I'm intrigued... I hope they at least release a preview of the song before the soundtrack's release.
  7. Listening an interview of them right now on Triple J :D
  8. Hmm, I can imagine that Cape Cod worked well as last song... But yeah I agree I think I'd prefer Walcott as closer! I can't even remember which songs the crowd went nuts at the most, it was pretty non-stop for me :awesome:
  9. :stunned: How early did you have to get there to be able to see the soundcheck?? I was a tad surprised when you said the crowd took a while to warm up, at the show I went to the electricity was there from the second the band walked on stage to the second they finished their encore! Glad you had a good time though! :)
  10. Anyone care to explain it for someone whose computer is gay and won't load videos???
  11. I'm seeing Florence in 81 days! Can't wait! :D
  12. Haha, I'm actually looking forward to seeing Passion Pit's set at Splendour! :P I read a review today in some magazine that was at my college about the JC gig, heard about the Strokes covers. Would've been cool, but yeah I'd choose VW 10 times over Julian! Is anyone going to see The Strokes on their sideshow tour?
  13. Oh I forgot you went to see Julian Casablancas! Jealous! How was he? That's when you talk to randoms :awesome: I did that the other night at Lisa Mitchell and met someone else going to Splendour! 'twas awesome. And yes, VW will blow your mind. Have fun! :D
  14. Ahhh yes, I know "Constellations", just didn't know who it was by. Not bad indeed.
  15. Haha yes, very broke. But it will be worth it! Update: I saw Vampire Weekend last night, they were absolutely incredible! :dead: Already wishing for a return tour...
  16. Awww :( OMG love your siggy! TDCC are AWESOME!
  17. Right now I have 10 and that's not unusual :p
  18. I like the name of this thread
  19. It's 12:15am, Vampire Weekend concert finished 2 hours ago and I'm still buzzing :wacky: I suggest everyone go and see them live if they can!
  20. OH MY GOD I just got back from the concert. WOW, what a show! My ears are still ringing and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to speak tomorrow, but that's not exactly a bad thing :P I know it's getting to the end of an extremely hectic touring schedule but you wouldn't have known it, the energy in the room was absolutely electric! Their live sound is very impressive, none of the members missed a beat. Though in one song (can't remember which one) Ezra started laughing (I'm not quite sure what at) and couldn't keep singing, which was rather amusing :P. Setlist was the same as Alex's first night, not entirely sure about the order but all those songs were there. I was convinced at one stage that they were going to play 'I Think Ur a Contra' (I adore that song) but they didn't unfortunately! Didn't think that they would anyway, really... I managed second row and somehow managed to keep it even though there were about 20 underage fangirls (alas, it was an all-ages show) squealing and trying to push in, lol. I had a death-grip on the barrier :P I only got some crappy photos (still only have my phone) but I'll probably post them at some point. Just had to vent some of my excitement on here! :P Oh and Cloud Control were fantastic, was much impressed :)
  21. Howl - Florence and the Machine
  22. SO EXCITED!!!
  23. TOMORROW NIGHT :dead:
  24. OK fine, you win :P Wow, your camera takes really good photos in concert light! The colours turned out really well, I particularly like the first photo
  25. Hmm I'd think that as an album Hot Fuss is probably my favourite... but in saying that I also love Sam's Town AND Day & Age, although Sam's Town probably has more stand-out songs on it. I absolutely adore A Dustland Fairytale, though.
