Films/TV shows/series you are planning to watch or desire to
I'd really like to watch all of Curb Your Enthusiasm. We've had DVD's for ages but my dad never let me watch them. I am older now though! i can handle it!

Coldplay vs. The World of Music
it should be noted that Jay Z comes from a culture where that's the norm/totally acceptable... you have a point but i don't really think it matters, i hardly ever pay attention to lyrics and there's no harm in enjoying a song even if you have some sort of moral high ground

How many songs do you have on iTunes?

Radiohead
I'm not the biggest fan of Kid A...I like the songs but In Rainbows has always been far far far superior as an album to any of the others I think it's too contextual for me, I understand what makes it so great but to me it does just sound pretty dull and hardly electronic at all. I'm sure I'd feel different if I heard it at the time (electronic music was nowhere near new at the time, but you know what i mean...mainstream rock band doing electronic) also Mylo Xyloto is amazing shut up

weren't Kid A's (the song) lyrics pulled out of a hat?

US astronaut Neil Armstrong dies, first man on Moon
This is really sad news. A lot of people seem to be acting like he went to the moon single handedly, which is nowhere near true...a hero in some ways but still very much just a guy doing his job.

:(- Coldplay vs. The World of Music
you guys just need to learn that the world of pop music is a completely different world to the music you listen to... they should never be compared- Coldplay vs. The World of Music
really? I have a lot of respect for Chris because of those things you mentioned. He's one of the few people in 'rock' music who actually seems like a real person. Why do you think that he's trying to please everyone rather than himself?? There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking pop music. You seem pretty ignorant... also what's wrong with 99 Problems? i love that song- Coldplay vs. The World of Music
no way! Skrillex and Nicki Minaj are two of the only mainstream/pop artists who actually have an interesting, new and original sound. While i like Coldplay, they haven't done anything super interesting in a long time (not saying this is a bad thing, sometimes it's good to stick with what you know sounds good...) People really turn a blind eye to mainstream artists...the assume they have no talent and are just churning out the same shit everytime. This is true in a lot of ways. The new Nicki Minaj album has 3-4 terrible songs that sound exactly the same as everything else shes ever done, and you know what? these are the ones that were the most popular. In order to be a popular artist you have to have songs that will appeal to a big audience. This doesnt mean the artists don't have good songs... tbh, Nicki Minaj is one of the best rappers of the past 10 years. Probably the best female rapper I've ever heard. You might not like the stuff that she raps about, but it's all about context isn't it? She grew up listening to music pretty similar to her own. Why should she clean up her act if this is what she is?? As for Skrillex, he's an insanely talented producer. Even some of the big names who pretty much invented dubstep (an entirely different sound than what you probably think of as dubstep) like Skream and Benga are aware of this. People are under the assumption that creating electronic music is just clicking a few buttons then you're done. That's not true. He probably spent hours and hours and hours, only working on one bass sound. I'm not sure what I'm saying anymore, I'm no good at ranting...but the point is pop music is pop music. the stuff you hear is popular because they've pretty much manufactured it to appeal to the masses. This doesn't mean that the individual artists involved aren't talented... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83ApuklExLA]Nicki Minaj's Verse " Monster " - YouTube[/ame] here's an incredible Nicki Minaj verse. It's a little disappointing that she's popular for her average/manufactured/pop work but this verse is one of the best verses...ever...- whats the best music/sampler program?
Ableton is the best and possibly the easiest. All the pros use it! (that sounds silly but its true) It'll probably take a while to get used to though.- The XX
