I think they both work together, if you imagine that episodes 25/26 are happening when the instrumentality starts, I actually think the episodes depict the instrumentality far better and deal with Shinji's emotions far better. But on a whole EoE is better, so I think I enjoy it most watching them both, I don't think one replaces the other. I'm glad you loved it though, I rarely meet other EVA fans, it's one of my favourite things ever.

Gould is an outstanding kicker, really underrated. I love Matt Forte, he is going to develop into a franchise player. He basically ran our entire offense last season, now that the weight isn't all on his shoulders he should do brilliantly. I love watching the Bears this season <3
