  1. You know, if no one was allowed to make jokes that hyper-sensitive people call "offensive", this world would be a very dull place. Learn to laugh at yourself and then come tell me how to talk about people.
  2. How is believing a man can magically come back from the dead any different than a fairy tale? And you calling me a prick after I expressed my view makes you a complete hypocrite.
  3. I stopped believing in Santa and the Easter Bunny, why should I believe religious fairy tales?
  4. about as religious as Chris Martin i too believe in Zeus: Ruler of the Gods
  5. honestly, I'd rather have my kids believing Harry Potter was real and learning their lessons about friendship and trust and loyalty from JK, then to believe that if you're bad you will burn in Hell for all eternity like these Sunday School kids quoted are learning.
  6. oh that's a strawberry in that mood. I thought it was a tomato.
  7. okay. well we musn't entirely blame Gambon for his Dumbledore, someone had to tell him how to act. it was the screenwriter who put in the shaking of Harry, the bellowing "SILENCE!" yells, all the crap he actively does was written in, he just did what was written.
  8. Didn't know that... Understandable, but the fans have to deal with it don't they? No, he doesn't "got" to be scary. He wasn't scary in the books. People did not listen to him because he shouted "SILENCE!", they listened to him because they were in awe of his grace and subtle power. Similar to Obi-Wan in the sense that he died knowing his student would succeed. But wizards can die, someone who read the books would understand this. :\ I have not been disappointed with them. I think Rickman is great as Snape. Voldemort is quite different than he is portrayed in the books (thank the screenwriter for that), but the way he is works for the movies. Gambon, however, fails miserably at Dumbledore, and no amount of excuses will change that.
  9. my point exactly. when Chris says something will be great, it will be.
  10. he said VLVOD was gonna be great
  11. Anyone else into the best new summer series on USA? One of the few shows I actually tune into every week. Any other HankMed fans out there?
  12. this show is great, one of my favorites
  13. I am actually not narcissistic almost at all when it comes to relationships. To me, the joy of the relationship lies just as much with making the other person happy as it does with your own needs/wants. Perhaps that's because I've seen so many people abuse relationships and I've experienced the most selfish people in relationships, so I can see that, and know I do not want to be any part of it.
  14. ahahaha
  15. agreed she looks scary in those first few and just great in the last ones
  16. Goblet of Fire just ended so many awkward moments and failed attempts at character portrayals. They really failed miserably at these films.
  17. ^What did I tell you? They probably killed it. The only good thing about the film will be Dumbeldore's death since it will mean never having to suffer Gambon's failure as Dumbledore again.
  18. :smug: Exhibit A of non make-up beauty (this oughta get 2 mil more):
  19. a truly beautiful girl doesn't need eyeliner and other makeup to look beautiful
  20. That's the great thing about the internet is there is a wide variety of people and since you are not face-to-face it makes some interactions easier.
