I get the memorial thing thats why I want to do something really really great with my life because when you do that IS your memorial.. what you did and how you are remembered and if you do something in art ... i think it will last even longer... it will outlast the lifetime of everyone who knew/ remebered you personally that is what so fantastic about music.

Coldplay may not be indie and im not saying the band as a whole is mainstream but..im saying this album, the whole viva era was more comercial than the previous ones ...which it was and there IS a difference between being commercial and overly "put together" and being mainstream as for them being mainstream ...well they are alternative rock so... and I cant even listen to Viva La Vida anymore it is soo overplayed. and "All fall down with X & Y" ...X and Y was just another Rung they climbed on the ladder to awesomeness. I can understand how some fans dont care for viva la vida as uposed to the older sound of coldplay i like viva but its not the coldplay i know and love someone once told me every band has to have a "commercial" album, the good bands snap out of it tho this was coldplays... so LP 5 will tell if they are going to snap out of it or not ...and yeah most of the tunes on VLV i REALLY LOVE like (Death and all His Friends Life in Technicolor Lovers in Japan Violet Hill Cemeteries of London and Strawberry Swing) but none of the songs are so good that their important... moving.. irreplaceable like Clocks, Yellow or Fix You and I felt like Chris wasnt writing the songs on VLV from his heart (what would he know about "sweeping the streets he used to own"?) LP 5 will make it clear just what direction they are headed in and whether Brian Eno is playing a role in that decision or not. :shrug:
