  1. They have to be one of the most talented bands ever to walk the earth. Matt Bellamy is a god.
  2. Muse Song World Cup FINAL begins Monday. For Details on the tournament so far: http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=68714
  3. Oh dear. I would see Muse over Coldplay anyday. Coldplay's show was amateur compared to Muse.
  4. Also, I don't think praying will be productive. I recommend donating to someone like doctors without borders.
  5. Apparently there are 3 million homeless, and latest reports are saying up to half a million killed :(
  6. I love I Think UR a Contra and White Sky, along with Giving up the Gun. The only one i can't get into is cousins!
  7. It is a grower! I am so in love with it. I can't understand all the cousins love though, that's my least favourite on the whole album! There's something really bland about it compared to the rest of the album. It's not as rich sounding. Prepares for flaming.
  8. 31 and Mainly fine is the forecast for Sunday at the Gold Coast. Will make for a balmy evening! Although you are right, mid-20s is perfect!
  9. Lol. That thing is so innacurate. The current feels like (apparent temperature) for Hobart is 20. The official 'feels like' apparent temperature is 12.1.
  10. I wouldn't take any notice of this if it's not BoM. Modelling only runs for a maximum 14 days ahead - this site advertises 15. and it's not entirely reliable more than 7 days. Anything past the Gold Coast date is a bit of nonsense! Not to mention that these sites use second hand information from BoM and not their own info. Brisbane is forecast to be mostly fine and 30 on Sunday. Will have to wait until tomorrow for Gold Coast forecast but it will be fairly similar. This is the site to use: www.bom.gov.au
  11. I doubt there will be a fourth single, with only 9 tracks and the whole United states of Eurasia thing. Not really any other radio friendly ones either, except maybe Guiding Light.
  12. It's certainly a grower thats for sure. It has much richer, more sophisticated sound than the first.
  13. Well, It's better than their first, and is a darn good album if you ask me! Lives up to the hype!
  14. OK, here goes the review! I hope you enjoy!
  15. I would suggest throw in a couple hip-hop, blues or electronic albums over the next few weeks. Streets, Groove Armada Passion Pit That kinda thing!
  16. Out in Australia today! Having heard the album streaming on their myspace, I think it is pretty brilliant! A lot of people are saying it's not as good as their first, but I would say it is about equal, it just doesn't have the same 'whoa what is this new unusual sound' about it, because we already know Vampire Weekend. A Very solid album, particularly the first half. 8/10
  17. Also, pace yourself! Spread out the 'legendary albums' so that you don't end up listening to crap by year's end! Mind you, I am sure there are more than 365 good albums out there!
  18. This is a great idea! I wish I had thought of it, will have to wait until next year! Not sure if you've heard these, but I recommend them! Radiohead - OK Computer - Widely regarded as the greatest of all time. An amazing, deep piece of art. Queen - A Night at the Opera - Queen at their bombastic best. Memory Tapes - Seek Magic - A great little album I picked up recently, well worth a listen on the bus or train. Sarah Blasko - The Overture and the Underscore - Debut Album from one of Australia's finest female artists (Check our her other two albums as well) Muse - Absolution - One of the best albums of the 2000's The Streets - A Grand Don't Come for Free - Listen to it start to finish, as that is how it needs to be heard, a great choice for something like what you're doing! Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend Bloc Party - Silent Alarm The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema There's about a week's worth to keep you going! how long do you think you will last? Check out besteveralbums.com or metacritic if you get stuck! plenty of reviews and recommendations there. What did you think of Kid A?

  20. INTRODUCING THE MUSE SONG WORLD CUP With the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers now complete, and the draw decided, I thought it would be fun to start up a song tournament with a difference - one in the same format as the FIFA World Cup. What I propose to do is have users vote for songs off each album to 'qualify' for the tournament. 32 songs will be included overall. I will do one album every week to qualify, before the final 32 teams are decided. These will be grouped into 8 groups of 4. Then, each week in the leadup to the world cup I will post a series of matches to be played in which the fan's favourite song can be decided. If you're interested, click on the link below to find out more. LINK TO MUSE SONG WORLD CUP
