pick something that you think you might like, but weren't really thinking of doing. That's what I did, and it's one of two of my majors now. Maybe it's just me, but I love learning new stuff and sociology was something I had never touched on before. So it was just really interesting. I can actually help a bit. Majority of university courses in Ireland are totally different than the college ones in Britain. My one though has a slightly similar format.

I didn't either. I was good at sciences in highschool but I did basically the opposite in college. I just got scared that I wouldn't like it or be good enough (even I got A's and B's in biology and chemistry). It was just a stupid moment of fear and I changed what I was doing in college. I'm now planning to become a primary school teacher.

I didn't want to do sociology. But I had to do 4 subjects in the first year of my course. I had only picked three I really want to do. I need one more so I just randomly picked sociology. Now it's one of my two majors, along with history.

I'm studying sociology. Do you know what we do? if you do know please tell me, cause tbh I have no idea.

I went to work and earned ludicrously more money than that for the amount of work I did.

I would read some reviews to get a general idea of an album of an artist I'm not too familiar with. But for bands I like, I wouldn't read them very often at all :nice: I just don't think about reading them.

it was funny, because my friend's aren't the most mainstream of people. It was half joking, but also half serious. More in the way that most people there didn't even know Keane had new music :laugh3:

WHERE IS ANNA? oh i went to a friend's house the other day and there was a bunch of people there. we were talking about music. Then my friend pointed out a friend of his and was like "she listens to Keane ...... new keane!" Everyone was like "ooooohhh hipster"

Isn't that just like a normal night out? surely you'd want to do something a bit different for the end of the world.

I'll definitely look them up :D I'm a big stand up fan. Some of my favorites that I've seen are Dara O'Briain and Ardal O'Hanlon (both Irish), and Adam Hills and Wil Anderson (both Australian).

Who did you go see? :nice: I'm going to see Frankie Boyle (a scottish comedian who's quite crude) on Sunday. My boyfriend had just said yesterday that he'd love to see him but the show has been sold out for months. I went on facebook this morning and a guy I work with was selling 2 spare tickets :D

I'm moving out of home this year to a house share. So I'm putting half of my money towards paying for my part of the bill for the internet for 5 months. Then just other small things for my room like my own mug, cute photo frames, a lamp shade. Oh and I'm going to a stand up show on Sunday night. So I'm delighted :nice:

Ahh okay. I never really understood social smoking until I started being friends who do. Smoking just didn't do anything for me. I've tried and I had no great feelings one way or the other, haha. It was just like "okay... what now?" haha. I couldn't stand my clothes smelling like that D; no offence, but it's pretty bad sometimes. I've started hanging out in the smoking room talking to people when I got out. I'll go home and my parents will tell me I stink :laugh3:
