  1. Wow I wish I could draw as well as you guys :laugh3: They're all really amazing :D Need to get round to making some butterfly drawings (a bit like Mari*ColdplayLover*'s) and then once I've finished that my collage with all Coldplay pics, articles, butterflies and (of course) the tickets that were the proverbial key to they best night in my entire life :D
  2. ^^^ Hehe  decided to go completely overboard on that seeing as I hadn't made him a cake or card or anything like the rest of you did :( aww well, i ate the biggest piece of chocolate cake from the nicest bakery i know in honour of him - my friends looked at me funny when i explained the reasoning behind it!!! i just couldn't stop thinking about chris or coldplay the entire day and everyone (i think) was sick of me saying how cool it was that it was chris's birthday :laugh3: they don't quite understand me like that, and found it weird that i was eating cake to celebrate a celeb's birthday but i don't really mind, and they'll have to get used to it coz i'll be even crazier on 12th april (guy's birthday!!!) was just driven mad by the insanely dull school day and throughout my (numerous!) tests, i found myself humming lots of coldplay songs (including don quixote) and also some apparatjik thrown in... my hand is also completely covered in ink - LiTii, 42, Viva la Vida, drawings of butterflies, initials (guess whose!) etc!!! was extremely bored :D by the way, anacaren08, would you mind if i copied (or made a decent attempt at!) making a cake like that for my birthday? would just love something special like that! ok, rambled on quite long enough now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS! xxx
  3. WISHING YOU THE BEST BIRTHDAY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD : CHRISTOPHER "CHRIS" ANTHONY JOHN MARTIN (a.k.a. THE MOST INCREDIBLE SINGER EVER TO GRACE THIS PLANET WITH HIS BRILLIANCE!) :laugh3: :D
  4. :stunned::o That is one incredible cake!!! It's just... ... ... perfect! How did you make the butterflies, in fact, the entire cake? I would love to make a Coldplay cake for my b'day but I have no idea how to make one as gorgeous as that :\ Any hints on making a CP b'day cake? Thanks :)
  5. Wow, this is just the most beautiful song! Absolutely gorgeous and I love at the start when Chris sings the 'Oooh's' really funny :laugh3: It was funny because I was on the laptop watching it last night a little later than I should have been up... 1:30am!!!... and I got 'discovered' and my laptop confiscated  Was not happy about that because I hadn't finished listening yet! So do we think it is Spanish Rain with a different name?
  6. OK, so reeeeeeaaally random thought here, but am currently listening to Datascroller by Apparatjik and one of the lyrics is 'How could something so beautiful be a humanoid?' The first thing that came into my head was Guy!!! Does anyone else think that this line just sums his gorgeousness up completely, he is too beautiful to actually be human!!! Also just proving there is evidence for the Guy BerryROBOT theory thread :laugh3:
  7. just a really random thought... has anyone ever thought about the fact he is almost 32 but still hotter than ANY guy younger than him? in fact, the hottest guy in the world?! as a teenager (ok so also kiiiind of weird that i'm in love with someone more than double my age :laugh3:) all my friends go on about young celeb guys whereas i totally think guy is hotter than any of them put together! anyone else find this weird?
  8. random coldplayness... i was just looking at some photos of the boys on the laptop while the rest of the family were watching total wipeout on bbc and The Scientist came on so i started singing along :laugh3:!!! Also last night when we went out for tea the restaurant played Yellow then Trouble one after the other, I think it's fair to say they had a bit of Parachutes going on there :D Coldplay is everywhere i go these days! which, of course, makes a certain person VEEERY happy :P
  9. Wow, since I wasn't even on Coldplaying.com until September, I didn't realise how mad you guys got over Coldplay birthdays and until now, I didn't really see the point :stunned: but now, ever since I've become, well, obsessed I suppose  I COMPLETELY do!!!!! Going to eat cake and possibly make something if I can tell my parents it's for something other than CM's b'day - they do not know the full extent of my new-found fangirling and so might find it a BIT weird :laugh3: So what do you guys think I should do that wouldn't be too obviously Coldplayish??? Thanks
  10. Wow, I would have gone, all casually, "So what's your husband's name then?" :P I'd kill for a real surname like that :L Hmm, the gorgeous Guy aside (although that's a lot easier said than done!) my Coldplay thoughts have been many today! A maths equation started 'X + Y =' and I squealed "An AMAZING Coldplay album!" and everyone in my class just kind of stared at me. My friend kindly informed me I had gone tomato-red!!! Also in a book I was reading, the character mentions Speed of Sound - of course, I had to then go get my iPod and listen immediately. Finally, as if that wasn't enough, in my Modern Studies class (Scottish class to do with politics etc!) we were talking about Haiti and what celebrities had done to help - they mentioned all the pop artists (Cheryl Cole, Miley Cyrus etc) and so I, naturally, blurted out "And Coldplay were amazing at the Hope for Haiti Now concert and they were better than any of those people you mentioned." They didn't take this too kindly :P Oh well - we Coldplay fans are inclined to point out everything to do with them :D
  11. Awww, only just saw this post and Coldplay should definitely have received the award for both nominations! How could anything beat the video for LiTii especially and the song itself is incredible - shocked :o Was tres annoyed also to see that they weren't nominated for any awards at the Brits but then seeing twenty mins of the show and the generic pop noise (because it is nothing but noise!) they were churning out made me feel a little better as it made me see that they don't recognize proper music, just the stuff that is popular at the time - Coldplay, on the other hand, are for a lifetime :D and will last a whole lot longer than any of the other artists around today. Rant over :laugh3:
  12. INCREDIBLE!!!!! Oh. My. Gosh :o Coldplay's Hampden gig was my first experience ever of seeing the best band in the world live (my first proper concert too for that matter :laugh3:) and it was officially the best night of my life. Ever. No exaggeration :shocked2: I have loved Coldplay with all of my heart since 4 years ago when my cousin played The Scientist for me on the piano and since then my admiration, love and just general addiction for Coldplay has just grown and grown and grown. And seeing them live, I can fully understand why they've been nominated for so many Best Live Act awards :smug: It was... fabulous, fantastic, incredible, amazing, and all the other words for great that I can't think of atm  Well to put it simply, I didn't care about the stupid, off-their-heads drunk guys next to us, I didn't care about the bad Hampden sound (which I didn't actually think was that bad ) I didn't care about the fact that I could barely see over the 6ft people in front of me (I'm 5'2"/3"!!!) I just absolutely fell in love with Coldplay all over again after seeing them live. All the songs they played were just stunning, Chris Martin has a beautiful voice (cool falsetto too!) Guy Berryman is truly gorgeous ;) Will Champion was putting his heart and soul (like in Politik!) into the drumming and Jonny Buckland was just incredible !!! I l-o-v-e-d their cover of Billie Jean (so funny when Chris was like 'she thinks that Will is the one'!!!) and... OMG, they were just pure dead class, OK!!! They are brilliant showmen, the butterflies were cool as were the big yellow balls (:laugh3:) and ... what more can I say?! If they do a 2010 tour in the UK, there is no way anyone could stop me from going to see them. I've lived the Coldplay live experience and now have really severe withdrawal symptoms!!!!! Listening to a rerun of Jo Whiley's show now and it brings back such good memories :D Incredible. Just incredible... That is all :laugh3: PS. Thanks for making The Scientist so brilliant, sentimental value coz it was the first Coldplay song I ever heard... :smug: Do a tour next year boys, otherwise I may just have to die!!!!
