I have to say that seeing them live was definitely a mind-blowing 'high' in itself - I don't think I could have felt any better than I did already that night. It does sound incredibly cliched but if you really get into the music, it's better and more effective than any kind of drug. I don't know of course, having never taken anything stronger than a glass of cider (:laugh3:) but in my opinion, drugs seem to have negative effects the majority of the time so I'm not going to try it. And also, the band definitely do NOT seem too keen on drugs, having already decided when they formed to kick out anyone found to be using hard drugs - seems to give a rather clear message, don't you think? However, I'm not judging anyone, just giving my two cents worth, as they say :).

Today I was on a plane (to see my relatives) and there was a sign that said 'No Photographs' and, no idea why, but I just thought 'Guy wouldn't be happy!' Weirdest thing, I know :P And then in a magazine, Helena Christensen was in it and she's Guy's sort-of ex :laugh3: Oh and finally I realised my cousin plays bass which is what Guy plays. So my day was more Guy than CP-related :lol: EDIT: But my mum said Square One today and I started singing, which earned me a weird look from her :laugh3: PS. ^ Nice pictures of your Coldplay-fest :P

I had to vote Coldplay because in terms of success, 'world domination' :lol: etc, they are undeniably the bigger band. Take Viva la Vida, for example: it was the best-selling album of 2008, it has become the most paid-for downloaded album of all time and has been certified AT LEAST 2x platinum in 12 different countries. Oh, and the official Viva la Vida music video has 59,277,863 views on Youtube. Now compare this to Kings of Leon. Only By The Night did nearly as well as Viva la Vida, but aside from that, all Coldplay's albums have had a huge amount of success whereas this was KOL's first mega-successful album. I think we have a clear winner for that poll :lol: Of course, when it comes down to personal preference I would still pick Coldplay over KOL any day (they are my favourite band after all, and IMO the best in the world right now) but people can choose what they want, naturally. Please forgive the essay :P

My RCT (random coldplay thought :laugh3:) for today: It's been snowing for the past 2 days where I live :cry: :veryangry2: (crazy I know, seeing how it's April tomorrow :o) and then Violet Hill came on my iPod and the lyrics, obviously, are "There was snow, white snow"! It made me smile even though I'm sick to death of snow: we had 2 solid months of it (when it was 2 feet deep :o) from December through to the end of February, and now there's more when it's practically April - it's absolutely insane :confused: Lovers In Japan came on afterwards and its lyrics, "Dreaming of the Osaka sun" and "One day, the sun will come out" made me feel hopeful that sooner or later (preferably LOTS sooner :P) the dreadful British weather will disappear and be replaced by sun :D So some sunny Coldplay lyrics to make me feel better more than anything else :laugh3:: "You only got the Sleeping Sun" - but this is changed so the sun is very much awake :lol: "You're a ladder to the sun" - how I feel about Coldplay :D "If there is anyone who is in the sun" - OK, so it's feat. Michael Stipe - therefore not technically Coldplay - but oh well :laugh3: If anyone can think of more sun-related CP songs please write them :D

^that indian music video made me :lol: but i wouldn't say this thread is all that relevant; a lot of my friends listen to pop and don't get why i listen to bands like coldplay - that doesn't make me stop listening to them! also, i couldn't care less when people who don't know i like coldplay find out, then start insulting them. i listen to what i LIKE to listen to. for example, my friend put on kesha the other day and i told her to turn it off because it was making my ears bleed (well ok, not literally :laugh3:) that article only applies to some teenagers :) ps. sorry if this post makes no sense :P

I don't like her or hate her, but as lots of people have said, if she tried to make Chris go solo then it would be a VERY different matter :laugh3: Is she really trying to persuade him to go solo? :angry:

OMG, why do I keep on coming back to this thread?! It does my health no good, and is definitely going to be the cause of my young death :lol: He is... INDESCRIBABLY sexy, gorgeous, hot, stunning - every other word that Guy is the definition of :D Going through the pictures always brings on the same reaction in me: :o, :bomb: then :dead:. The weird thing is though, I wouldn't swap my Guy-addiction for anything in the world :D EDIT: ^ Except perhaps meeting him (and the rest of the boys, not being greedy or anything :laugh3:) But then I suppose meeting him would just be an even more likely cause of death (by happiness :lol:) and then the addiction would just go from worse to completely incurable :P

Either way, like zempt said, you all look quite nervous - if I were you, my face wouldn't be big enough to fit my smile :laugh3: But I suppose they are ONLY the greatest band in the world so I can kinda understand you were probably just a little starstruck :lol: Lucky for some, and congratulations on meeting them :D

I'm going to go and see every concert they do - so I'd better start saving now as that's gonna be a hell-of-a-lot of money considering travel/accommodation/tickets etc :D But it's gonna be worth it - because I'm also going to be a complete fangirl and go to their hotels and get right in the front of the queue at the locations etc - this dreaming makes me very happy :D

Again, WHY does this guy not just shut up with the whole abusing Coldplay thing? it's not like they've ever done anything to annoy him, they've never said anything bad as far as i know (well i suppose he could be annoyed that they make better music... :laugh3:) And as for Coldplay being 'styled', that might be so but overall it is irrelevant because they are MUSICIANS - they make music, they don't have to be amazing at fashion as well :angry: He just really gets on my nerves - why doesn't he just stop having a go at other bands and maybe concentrate on the music, which is what it's all about after all :\
