The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
@Viva: First off, if you think that The Resistance was a sell out, don't you think you could have had this hissy fit and removed your posters then? The Resistance era is over, having a melt-down about it now means little. Also, I didn't know you were referring to a specific event re- fan treatment. So I conceed ignoring 8 fans is a bit different, and a bit rude. However, they are human, so I expect stuff like this to happen. Ever heard of other bands shunning fans after shows? Yeah, Muse are no exception. True, you are entitled to your opinion and on a public forum you are allowed to voice them. I didn't tell you off or stop you. But I have every right to make a rebuttal and disagree with it too.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
We've already had the discussion how I saw an RSC actor on the street and squeed so loud and basically rushed/talked high pitch to him and probably terrified him right? :laugh3: I think I would be so much worse with all of my bands. (Dude, I screamed and started shaking when Chris Martin spoke to us. And in Fenech-Soler I pretty much passed out when the bass player apologised to me and gave me a hug and a kiss). Did I mention I'm planning on stalking DT after I see him in Much Ado in summer? Yeah, that's going to go well. That's just purely rude and mean. I'm sorry, it is his personal choice-- we can comment to one another, no doubt, but seriously? Harping on at the man himself is not acceptable (unless you are a friend, then you sort of have that allowance). Some fans should be ashamed. :saw: I agree with pretty much everything you have to say. The first thing I thought was: 'Oh nice. BUT WHAT ABOUT A NEW ALBUM? *Hyperventilate*' At the moment though, the Belldom is definitely divided... There's camp I don't care, camp Kate-haters and camp conspiracy theories. It's making for some very interesting reading and fan-fic at the moment. Also re Reading: I was thinking about this. I know they are a strong rumour and I'd love them to be there seen as I'm going... But would you really organise to do some of the biggest festivals in the UK if you were expecting a baby? Whoa. How on earth is Muse a sell-out? And if you're about to say Matt is a sell-out for dating a Hollywood actress-- I say that if he likes her and is enjoying his time with her, why should we care? He's entitled to go after who he wants. How do we know that he's changed? We don't know him personally. We can say the same for Chris Martin and all. We don't know these people, we just observe them... If the reporting styles and photography starts changing just because, we somehow see that as a reflection of how things are in the band. I'm sorry, unless we know them personally, we can't say anything about that. The music changing. Yeah, okay, we can comment. And I fear that it will happen. But that's still no reason to wish unhappiness on band members. Have you thought that they don't say hi to fans anymore because of the sheer volume of people there are nowadays? Or the fact that their shows are so intense? Actually, I think that's complete rubbish. I've seen a lot of people on ontd meet the band recently and said they were nothing but lovely and talkative and appreciative. Excuse them if they don't have hours after playing almost 100 minutes of extremely intense music. Also, all the Gwenyth rage = irrelevant in this thread. If Chris is happy, I'm happy. They've been together now for years, so she's doing right by him and vice versa. It's about time to put that grudge to bed. /Natt out.

 Aren't we just? :helmet: Indeed they were. It was the ontd_muse lot in fact. They normally stay well away from gossip, but this had too much fail that they couldn't avoid it apparently and tore it to shreds. Before sending a link to the website with the comments to watch their fail go down in flames. I don't know, by the end of it, she will be that size. :lipsrsealed2:

I thought it was a beautiful way for fandom to handle a potentially wanky situation. I think that's the way everyone is viewing it now... The fail journalism just makes everything better

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Now this article has got us all lulzing over on ontd... So I thought I better share it here: Meet the Man behind Kate Hudson's Pregnancy. "Plug In Baby," indeed. Muse lead singer Matthew Bellamy is the man behind Kate Hudson's pregnancy, and therefore he is no longer "just" an awesome alt-rocker. Here's what you need to know about the 32-year-old British musician, now that he's procreated with an Oscar nominee: 1. He's Got Mad Skills: Bellamy has landed on multiple U.K. critics' "best ever" lists for his guitar playing — all of which is now done on custom guitars that he designs with craftsman Hugh Manson and has made for him in Devon, England (where he's also from). The band's 2001 hit "Plug In Baby" is featured on Guitar Hero 5. As for right now, Muse (Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard round out the trio) is nominated for three Grammy Awards this year, including Best Rock Album for "Resistance," its fifth studio effort. Bellamy is also contemplating taking the show off-road — way off-road! "I'm thinking about approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his spacecraft," he told the Sun this month. "Maybe I've seen 'The Jetsons' too many times." 2. He's Partly Responsible for the 'Twilight' series: Author Stephenie Meyer has cited Muse as a major inspiration for her vampire saga. And no one can blame them for jumping on the bandwagon here! "Supermassive Black Hole" was in "Twilight," an "I Belong to You" remix was in "New Moon" and "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)," the lead single off the "Eclipse" soundtrack, ensures that no one will be wondering how Bellamy paid for Hudson's ring (should they get engaged, that is). 3. He Knows How to Pick 'Em: Muse's version of Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good" was voted the greatest cover song of all time by readers of British music mag NME. Adam Lambert, whose falsetto howl is reminiscent of Bellamy's at times, performed the Muse version on "American Idol" to rave reviews during Rat Pack week. Bellamy, in turn, penned "Soaked" for Lambert's debut album, "For Your Entertainment." 4. He Very Well May Celebrate Guy Fawkes Day: "I'm singing from the perspective of the person who's at the bottom of the pyramid awakening to the fact that they are being played as a pawn," the self-described libertarian said in Rolling Stone in 2006, talking about "Exo Politics," off of 2006's "Black Holes and Revelations," which also included the tunes "Uprising," Assassin" and "City of Delusion." "It's about wanting to fight against that and wanting to make a change. And, um, their latest album is called "The Resistance." 5. He Doesn't Think 9/11 Was an Inside Job: Sure, he may have suggested such a thing in 2006, but in 2009 he set the record straight in Rolling Stone. "I'm a curious person" and "a rational thinker," he told the mag. "There is loads of stuff on the Internet suggesting 9/11 was an inside job. But that is not my belief." (sourcing) Now with bonus comments! Spoilered simply because whoaaa, gif/text ahoy!:

Spanish Rain on LP5...
I don't reckon it will end up on LP5... A b-side maybe... But not an album track. I do have to admit, I would love to hear a studio version of it (there probably is some sort of demo-ish floating about out there) but if I never do, it's okay.

Isn't she just? :bomb: It's just as well I didn't fully invest myself as a Matt girl then. I had sixth senses about it (no joke, I've had dreams where Kate is pregnant weeks ago yes, I dream about Muse which is just strange now I think about it :stunned: ).

I would put money on it.

Rawr. If I remember correctly... Matt once answered a question on mu and said that he thinks that he likes only socks to be worn for sexy-tymes. But this is also true. He said his feet could kill people with how much they smell... What an ick turn-off

:laugh3: Much better than I could ever hope to accomplish Awww. But to be honest, we all expected bigger things from U2. It was such a fail-a-whale. HAARP  My favourite album these days. I love hearing them live again. Even if they don't do a Resitance tour DVD they better release some good live recordings or I'll go all mental on their asses. :bomb: A Coldplay poster is so :awesome:

Word. I didn't like it either. I didn't buy it though thankfully, just borrowed it off a mate. Brian Eno... Man, that dude is artsy. He was the artistic director of the Brighton Arts Festival last year. I went to one of his talks and felt mind bended afterwards. And I went to his exhibition... Which was cool, no doubt, but extremely out there vague. (It was blocks arranged in a diamond that changed colour and patterns whilst some very odd experiemental music going on in the background).

:o So does my Mum. Her favourite band in fact. I went and saw them with her... And I got to admit, he's pretty good live :dozey: and I had a good time there.

Aww, that's a shame :shame: My family have a generally wicked taste in music. My brother and I share a lot of the same bands in the indie/rock world... He tends to stray in to D'n'B though which I'm not a fan of. My Dad is modern rock and classic rock; so a lot of my older rock genes come from him (Rush, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd). My Mum is sort of more of the 70's/80's era music... Which I quite like (although some is dire) and she does get quite in to some more of the modern rock/indie. I'm the only alt scene, electropop and industrial metalist in the family though. :laugh3:

^^^ My brother and I are sort of alike for a lot of music (KoL, The Killers, White Lies, The Drums so on and so forth) but he's just never really got in to Muse. Admittedly he's only listened to BHaR. I reckon he would probably like OoS, Absolution and Showbiz though. The Resistance... Probably not so much :/ ^^I hope you manage to get tickets to go see them Ines. Would be amazing no doubt. ^Ha. Brothers right :p

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
I'm pretty sure if I said about it to my brother there would be some sort of blank stare followed by '...so?' He doesn't really get Muse. He sort of listens to them, but I think he dislikes them because of the volume I tend to play them at and on loop and all.

^ Whoa. Melodramatic brother is melodramatic.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
:laugh3: I would be thrilled. Also I'm thinking it is pretty much news now. My Mum phoned me at 8:30 this morning to ask if I'd heard about it. And someone else from the forum facebooked me this afternoon to ask me if it was true. So it is everywhere. I'm glad I'm not the only one getting distracted by the news though :P

In a Developmental Biology lecture, looking at fetal development 3D scans. All I can think is this is what is going on to make mini-Maffoo. It's highly distracting.
