The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
INORITE?! I studied it for four years and only did Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing. There are so many more. I wish there could have just been like, a Shakespeare A-Level or something. RSC is only like the best thing to hit the theatre ever. It's the Royal Shakespeare Company-- a selection of the finest theatre newcomers and experts to create a company that stick together and perform the classics (as well as sometimes dabbling in more contemporary stuff). They have three theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon and go on tour to London every couple of winters. I've seen A Midsummer's Night Dream, Hamlet (David Tennant version), Taming of the Shrew, As You Like It and Love's Labour's Lost with them over the past 3 years... As well as seeing their contemporary The Drunks (a Russian play) and their theatre adaption of Morte D'Arthur.

Chris and Will on BBC Radio 1 This Week re: LP5 (Friday 7th January 2011 @ 7-10am GMT)
 Zane has been insane in his morning slot. Foo's, Strokes and now Coldplay. Genius. I'm hoping for potential release date-- or at least a vague indication of where in the process they are... And maybe even a hint of a tour. But that's just being very, very optimistic about it.

:surprised: You guys are talking about Shakespeare? I love Shakespeare. I'm such a fangirl over them. I've got 2 copies of the complete works (one I've annotated and one that's just blank). And I go to the RSC a hellaz lot. :D Love ittt.

:laugh3: So over here it's just plain old teen drama. :laugh3: But none-the-less Dickens . Infinitely better than other 'classics' such as Bronte. Blergh.

Ouch! That's really not cool. I think my brother broke up on the 17th December and went back today... He's a school/college kid, so that's more like the normal. I broke up on the 10th December... So I dun got a month off. But that's uni for you-- more holiday than term-time.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Ohhh... That reminds me... NME news today: 'Muse have had serious discussions about playing gigs in space' Matt Bellamy says his intergalactic ambition is 'for real' Muse's Matt Bellamy has said that the band have had "real" discussions about the possibility of playing a gig in space. The frontman said that although his plan seemed rather ambitious, he hoped that technology would allow the Devon three-piece a shot at performing a show in orbit one day. "We've had some discussions about playing in space," he told The Sun. "Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real." Bellamy explained that although the trio hadn't started any astronaut training quite yet, he had started thinking about ways of going about getting the gig off the ground. "I'm thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his [Virgin Galactic] spacecraft he's got happening," he said. "Although we do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we'd have to use pods to carry our stuff and we'd scale back the shows a lot." He added: "I do think it will be possible in the future and I'm sure it will happen in my lifetime. We'd love to be part of that." Source

In no particular order... - Coldplay - Foo Fighters - Death Cab for Cutie - RHCP - Snow Patrol - White Lies - Franz Ferdinand - The Killers (are they recording again? I hear rumours, someone say it is so!) - Kasabian I'm sure there are more. But just looking at that, I'm going to be skint.

It's pretty cool to see and all. Brought in 2011 in proper Musery style. What a wonderful win.

I can't even wrap my head around the sheer volume of stuff I have to get through since I last popped in. You've all been mega busy :shocked2: Oh and because I've been so lame and not been here... I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year too!

Texting...
Yeah, I have to say iPhones cost a hell of a lot here. I think to buy it outright it's something like £300 (and then the monthly tariffs are like £20) or you can go contract. But iPhones are just really excessively expensive.
-
Texting...
:shocked2: Whoa. That is so expensive. How can anyone afford that?!
-
Texting...
Yep. I'm sure I probably have a cap for excessive usage, but I've never encountered it.

Your Best Discovery of 2010!
I didn't know you were at the boat trip and all. Ha, I missed talking to so many people  That's dang awful about missing Two Door though. They're wicked live and the crowds get proper insane (I saw them at Reading and a circle pit broke out and the whole tent went mental).

I thunked so too when I saw it. Can't get better than Strawberry Swing Superhero Chris right? o2 are pretty nice to me I guess. I've been with them now for 10 years and so they give me rewards and allowances left-right-centre.
