whut. So we are supposed to believe that our ovaries are at risk but stuff like kidneys, stomach etc, what we share with men is all safe... another thing, he uses this as an argument for why women should not be behind the wheel. So sitting next to the person driving is fine? And what about women that are in menopause, are they also not allowed to drive because their ovaries might produce 'children with clinical problems'? It's a shit argument.

Ouch still wanted reviewing but I understood Violet went for that. Speaking of Ouch, I am downloading Crippled Black Phoenix' No Sadness or Farewell :)

It's that time of the year for mushroom collecting :D I made mushroom soup out of self-collected mushrooms. Here's a recipe (use mushrooms from shop if you're not sure how to collect eatable mushrooms or you might kill yourself!) - bunch of mushrooms - (knob of) butter - 125 ml cream - a liter bouillon - an onion - two cloves of garlic - cornstarch or flour - pepper and parsley Clean the mushrooms and bake them in a pan with the unions and garlic and all the butter. When all is heated well, add flour in bits and stirr well to make it all hot. Then slowly add the bouillon while stirring. Add pepper and parsley and let it heat for a while. Add the cream in the end to make it a creamy mushroomsoup :D

So, as they are recording the new album, they already released some of it in a nice app. There's a new song hidden in it and the app is for free. One problem is that you should have a device that is able to deal with apps, non? Guess I have to steal someone's iPad to get the app :( but anyway, it looks niiiiiice! The app is available to everyone from 25th Sept onwards :D :D :D and they have a new instagram account to keep us fans updated :) http://instagram.com/mew_eviloffice# I might go to their show in London. Otherwise I have to wait till next year to see them I think :'X

Last post she made on this board :( I don't think we'll see reviews anytime soon. The one that got reviewed by jeremyy didn't come with a tracklisting so I can only give the name of the mixtape maker. Maybe jeremyy and Ouch can swop mixtapes, because they both didn't get a review? Or Ouch you want to get your tape reviewed by someone else?

It's his personal taste, as in what he thinks are the best albums through the years. That's also why he wants the debate. If we all say that metal and other rough stuff should be added, we can agree on that and have the Parrot list adjusted as we go on with the lists. I don't know how to to word this, sorry, I think I am not making sense now :S I think this whole thing was with the intent that we would disagree with him with some choices and come up with ours and we might learn from eachother. In that sense, I agree with you on this one, I like the ocasional metal as well and for sure some of that comes back in my lists. Like Nightwish. 2001 would include After Forever and Anathema, both metal (hardly death metal, more the symphonic and prog metal stuff) I was also surprised not to see Coldplay's Parachute in the Top 10 of 2000 :confused: Metal/symphonic rockband Within Temptation came that year with Mother Earth that's in my list as well. And Mew of course. I have not seen any filmscores yet either, right? I might come up with additions (not just naming CD but also say why I consider them the best) for the '00's soon. Still hoping more people will come up with lists like Ouch did :D

What is this? For a second I thought it was your top 10 of 2000 and you mistook the Kid A with OK Computer, but U2's The Joshua Tree (not 'Three') is from 1987 and Hopes And Fears is not from the Editors but Keane! What is this, a top 10 of all times? :thinking:

^ Nice to see that most people on rateyourmusic.com seem to agree with you, the top CDs 1998 on there is 6. Elliott Smith - XO 5. Swans - The swans are dead 4. Outcast - Aquemini 3. Boards of Canada - Music has the right to children 2. Massive Attack - Mezzanine 1. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the aeroplane over the sea Air with Moon Safari only comes in at #16 but personally I would also place that one in the Top 5. Anathema with Alternative 4 and Nightwish with Oceanborn would be in there as well.

Congratulations, a well deserved one here. It must be such a work and effort to put that thread together. Glad the thread works and you get the thumps up you deserve!
