? I just don't agree that Coldplay's recent stuff is mediocre :confused: why would that matter? I was meaning with my remark that using subjective arguments like that (that I for example don't agree with) are not making a general point. I might be too picky but you said 'the fact' and made the whole thing look like a general consensus/fact, while it all sounded to me very subjective. I wouldn't call any of U2's work after 30 years of work, a masterpiece, for example. Neither do I agree that such a thing is needed for a band to earn the 'the best'. What makes a band the best one is subjective. but coldplaymom already said that it was all a matter of taste.

Nope, they were the rebellions before the Car Kids got rounded up by the silencers. It's a prequal, because the comic is about video-baby Mylo who is in the comic already a young adult. There is rebellion as well in the comic but they are called Sparklers and not Car Kids anymore.

Except that that's just all a matter of opinion... it's your opinion that Coldplay's recent stuff is mediocre, that U2 still comes up with a masterpiece, that a band is 'the best', etc and I don't share that opinion and probably coldplaymom doesn't either.

I did not get a link to any digital downloads :S what bothers me more is that I did not receive yet the comformation e-mail. I checked if the mail address was correct and it is and also did it not end up in the junk folder :S Luckily I still have my order number and my creditcard payment overview :(

Noooo, runescape has all these quests, like helping Juliet and Romeo to get together and tricking an evil wizard and get rid of Dracula in the Haunted House. I don't know which level I was when I quit playing it, but I was wearing a bad-ass armour because someone died in the early days that was wearing it and that person had made the most expensive and durable armour so I was nearly invincible except when people did magic because with armour on you are a shit wizard. That was a long sentense :surprised:

Wait, are you implying that the one view has to be completely disentangled from the other one? A scientific view does not necessary exclude a Christian one and vice versa. Uhm, at least in my opinion :S I think people can be 100% Christian while being critical, logical and methodological. I see it in my work as well. Devoted Christians and Muslims and atheists work here side by side to gain a deeper understanding in genetics and evolutionary ecology. But back on the topic :P I read a few days ago that there was a study on people that considered themselves lucky and people that considered themselves unfortunate. They followed them and found out that it was not so much about what happened to the people that made them lucky or have bad luck, it was about their mind-set. The lucky people had as much bad luck as the unfortunate people, but they thought of it lightly and noticed better the good things that happened to them. For the unfortunate people it was the other way around. They noticed all the bad things happening, but did not appreciate or even notice it when something good happened to them. So according to this study it was not so much about more bad things happening to certain people, but more about what people gave more value/significance in their lives. Think positive :flower: And I think it might also be a bit like was said earlier in the thread: Sometimes something is seen as a bad thing, while you can also look at it another way. For example, you can call it bad luck when you park your car again in a pole, but you can also consider yourself lucky that you got out of the accident without damaging yourself and that the insurance gives back enough money for you to buy that other car you wanted to buy anyway. Also you can see something as a learning moment that will make you stronger/more robust/smarter/basically a bitch, so yeah Brent become a bitch :angry: ..... kidding

I don't think it is a "making a comic about your album". People seem to forget that all this was done simultaneously. The making of the comic and animation material, the making of the CD. It is as much making a comic about the album as it is making a CD about the comic. And this video was planned all along with it. The comic starts with Mylo as a silencer, which is after this video. Of course that alone can still mean that they made the video afterwards, but I read/heard them already a while ago about the animation video thing. The CD wouldn't be as it is if not for the comic. They are intertwined. (still makes the ending with the ‘BUY ME’ bad, yeah) And I don’t think I understand the remark about it seeming to be intended for the mainstream community. Do you mean that other work was intended for not-mainstream community or was not intended for anyone? Why would it be a shame to made a video for the mainstream?

Just do it as fast as possible then. Please try to send it already this week. :) People, it is really the idea that you send the scrapbook within two weeks of receiving it. I understand that you can be overwhelmed with things to do, but 1) you knew you'd get the scrapbook, so if it wasn't convenient, then please say so in time so you don't get the scrapbook sent to you. Also let this be a lesson. Don't wait with making the page until the end of the week, because other things will take up your time. 2) it is a matter of priorities. If you don't see the scapbook as a high priority thing, you shouldn't enter in the first place. A bit of delay is fine, but in the past we've had too much delay and silence from the keeper's part. Please make sure you can keep to the deadline. It really isn't that hard. If you plan it well enough you have enough time to enjoy the other entries and make a nice one yourself. If time's up, then just write 'hi I am ... and I live in ... and here's a picture of ... : [picture of something or someone]' it can be done any time of the day. The only problem is posting it, because posting offices are not always open. But that's something you know in advance.
