  5. I was very pleased with the episode. Is it bad to say that I'm happy that I won't have to look at Andrea's face anymore? :uhoh: I enjoyed the Talking Dead afterward too, that was great. And the live prank call, oh my goodness! yeah me too :escaping: I recorded GoT since it was on at the same time as Walking Dead, I'll probably watch it tomorrow night...
  6. :awesome: sweeeet Congrats guys!
  7. Last night there was a Radiohead clue on Jeopardy. That made me happy.

  9. In addition to being talented, Danny Brown is one hilarious guy. Some of his videos/interviews on YouTube crack me up. Here's an interesting article: http://pitchfork.com/features/update/9047-danny-brown/ "I thought that if XXX was my OK Computer, then I'd have to make my Kid A next." :awesome:

  11. Amanda Knox 'Shocked' By Court Ruling That She Will Be Tried Again for Murder Amanda Knox was "shocked" by Italy's Supreme Court ruling today that she must be retried for the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher. Knox spent four years in prison before an Italian appeals court threw out her murder conviction in 2011 and she had been hoping the court would uphold the appeals court ruling and end her six year ordeal. Instead she was told that the marathon legal battle would continue for her and for her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who had been convicted along with her. The court also refused to vacate her conviction for slander over her identifying her employer, Patrick Lumumba, as the person who killed Kercher. It was a statement, she claims, she made under police duress. "She is shocked and very sad," Knox's lawyer Carlo Dalla Vedova said. "She thought this was the end of a nightmare." In a statement Knox said the court's decision was "painful" and "completely unfounded and unfair." "The prosecution responsible for the many discrepancies in their work must be made to answer for them, for Raffaele's sake, my sake, and most especially for the sake of Meredith's family. Our hearts go out to them," she said. "No matter what happens, my family and I will face this continuing legal battle as we always have, confident in the truth and with our heads held high in the face of wrongful accusations and unreasonable adversity," she added. "It's a shocking decision, so we go back to discuss the case and we are ready again," Dalla Vedova said. Kercher's family, which had been clearly disappointed when Knox and Sollecito were freed, said today that she "happy" by today's ruling, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. Her lawyer said the new trial will probably start again next year. He said Knox will not come back for new trial. The new trial does not mean that Knox would be back in an Italian prison any time soon. She would not be required to return to Italy for the trial and if she is convicted again, that ruling would be appealed up to the Supreme Court. More legal proceedings will be necessary to extradite Knox to Italy. Experts do not believe such an effort would be successful. The court has 90 days to write their "motivation," explaining in detail why they overturned the acquittal and upheld Knox's slander conviction. Knox's lawyers had said she was "anxious" Monday over the court's hearing. She stayed in Seattle for the hearing. In their final arguments before Italy's Supreme Court Monday, Dalla Vedova told the court, "'This trial started with an error and the prosecution continues to insist in the errors even in an attempt to convince the Supreme Court that the recourse should be accepted." Prosecutors and a lawyer for Kercher's family argued that appeals court judges "lost their way" in analyzing the evidence and that Knox and Sollecito should be retried for Kercher's murder. "We feel that Amanda and Raffaele are guilty and were in the room with Rudy Guede," Francesco Maresca, lawyer for the Kercher family, said as he entered the Corte di Cassazione, Italy's supreme court, in Rome. Guede, an Ivory Coast drifter, has also been convicted in the 2007 murder and is serving a 16 year prison term. Since her 2011 release from prison, Knox has resumed her life in Seattle, taking classes and spending time with her family and boyfriend, James Terrano. Her memoir, "Waiting to Be Heard," published by HarperCollins, will be released April 30. She reportedly received an advance of $4 million for the book. Knox's first interview since she was freed will air during a primetime special on Tuesday, April 30 at 10 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. link
  12. Well, turns out I was one episode behind on my prediction. Crazy.
  13. Just got my confirmation for the Chicago WASTE seating location... not uber-close, but it's still pretty darn good being that it's a WASTE seat. Second lower section from the stage, I can live with that!
  14. If they're going to off any of the main characters in the season finale, my guess would be Merle. If they (ever) off Daryl, people will go apepoop (myself included). I just got my "What Would Daryl Dixon Do" and "Keep Calm and Carry a Crossbow" shirts, so they better not get rid of him.
  15. Yip, I got PA. When the Chicago tickets instantly sold out, I thought maybe I could try for NY; but of course that was sold out too! So I checked if anything was still available for PA, and sure enough it was. I got one GA ticket; then a few minutes later I thought maybe I could take my sister on a little birthday trip to Philly, so I decided to get another GA ticket. Hope it works out! Are you also going to PA?
  16. Okay, so I was F5-ing WASTE since 8am... when tickets went on sale at noon, the Chicago presale sold out pretty much instantly. No Chicago (WASTE) tix for me. Might try for some regular tix on Ticketmaster Saturday though. edit: A couple of Chicago (seated) tix popped back up a few minutes ago, and I nabbed them! Yyyaaaayyyyy!!! :cheesy:
  17. Rare Chinese Bowl, $3 at Tag Sale, Sells for $2.2M NEW YORK March 20, 2013 (AP) - A rare Chinese bowl bought at a tag sale for $3 has sold at a New York auction for more than $2.22 million. The 1,000-year-old bowl was part of the opening session of Sotheby's fine Chinese ceramics and works of art auction Tuesday. Sotheby's says it was sold to a London dealer for $2.225 million, far above the presale estimate of $200,000 to $300,000. The person who put the bowl up for auction bought it at a tag sale in 2007 and had it displayed in the living room for several years before becoming curious about its origins and having it examined. The bowl is 5 inches in diameter, white in color and from the Northern Song Dynasty. link
  18. I fixed it for you (open your post again to see what I did). :nice: And in regard to the spoiler... :stunned:
  19. I think I'm going to try for the Chicago show. The site says tickets go on sale at 9am PST, so that would be noon my time. I'll probably be F5-ing the site for 4 hours prior though. Although I certainly don't think any potential new RH material would be played, I'm guessing they might do one song (B-side) already in existence. Last time they did Paperbag Writer, right? If they perform a RH song, I'm hoping for The Butcher since we didn't get that on the RH tour.
  20. Oh my, that was a crazy episode! I loved it when Andrea just opened the door full of walkers on the Governor. Obviously she didn't expect him to make it! And Milton switched to anti-Governor so quick, I wasn't quite expecting that. I think maybe his conversation with Hershel during the last episode made him see what the prison group is like, and also how messed up the Governor is.
  21. Looking forward to hearing about it! :awesome:
  22. I haven't seen the Coachella version, but I keep watching the Austin City Limits version since the show is on my DVR. :dead: love that song...
  23. I was totally expecting that hitchhiker guy to pay them back for (twice) not picking him up. I thought maybe he would catch up with them while they were in town, and steal the car or slash the tires or something. Boy, was I wrong!
