Someone needs to turn 'Ode to Deodorant' into 'Ode to Laxatives'

Howz about for whenever the next poll comes along, make the requirement that you have to be a member of coldplaying.com since at least the month before the poll is announced. That way, it doesn't matter how many previous posts someone has, but you're pretty much guaranteed to not have people who came here for the sole reason of posting their votes. For example, if you announce in December of 20xx that you will have a top 50 poll, make the requirement that anyone who votes has to be a member of coldplaying.com on or before November 20xx. Just an idea.

Just to clarify... are you guys saying that you think Amsterdam should be ranked better or worse?

Well, you've got at least one other person keeping you company. It's good, but overall frankly my least favorite of the four LPs. (sorry if I offended anyone)

It doesn't really matter which day. Even if s/he only answers on weekdays (business days), s/he considers all questions regardless of which day they are asked.

Yes, I will definitely get the converter on the way home then. I want the globe to be happy. I mean I'm not going to plug it in much anyway, mainly just for taking pictures sometime during the next few days. But it would be cool to ask the Oracle too to see if s/he/it will respond, so I will try. :D (Actually, I think the Oracle is a 'he' based on one of today's Q&A's).

So, I guess that means Chris is the one who gives birth to the BuMabies. :sneaky:

Yes, on the base of the globe it says it is a bayonette bulb (I'm assuming that's a tiny decorative bulb as you mentioned). Quite frankly I think it is actually in the stem leading up to the globe, not the globe itself, but I could be wrong. In any event, I look forward to your response from your teacher. But, I think I'll probably just pick up a voltage converter on the way home regardless. Thanks for all your help Space Cadet! I, and all the other globe-admirers here, appreciate it!

Well, how about I just let you know what's on each piece: Plug E with three lines next to it (I'm assuming this refers to European) BS1363/A 250V 13A (with an N slightly below it) PMS (I think this looks like a logo of some company) 9348 Base of Globe Max 25 Watt - 250V - ? The ? is because there's likely something printed next to it, but it is covered by one of the four pieces of felt that was placed on the base to keep it from slipping off the piano/etc., and I'd rather not peel that off if I can avoid it. I guess my thing is this. Let's pretend it is already good to go (self converted), but I can't tell. So, I buy a converter in addition to the adapter. Using a converter when it's already "self converted"... will 2 rights make a wrong and kaboom? I know that may sound silly, but I just want to do whatever is safest.

^ Or, I could just e-mail Debs and ask if she remembers if they used just an adapter or both an adapter and converter during the U.S. tour. :D

Thanks for the info! I think I'll just take a picture of the plug (it has some of that info) and the base (other info), and just show it to them so they can point me in the right direction.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I was unable to get an outlet adapter today to plug in the globe. I went to Home Depot, thinking for SURE they'd have one there, but the employee said they don't carry that kind of adapter. :freak: (For those of you not in the U.S., Home Depot is basically a huge warehouse with everything you'll ever need for the inside and outside of your home.) I'll have to track down an adapter somewhere else. I'd like to take more pics all at once, so additional pics will have to wait for another couple of days until I can get an outlet adapter to plug it in. (sorry) But trust me, when I do post the pics, it will be major pic-spam. :awesome: We can just chew on the pic from the other page for now. Speaking of "chew"... When I was driving home I had the case sitting in my passenger seat. There is a green buckle-strap which is used to secure the case lid, and is also used to carry it. So I look over at it, and I notice that on the green strap there is a really... really... REALLY old, dirty, nasty piece of gum that is stuck to the strap. For a split second there my train of thought was, "Oh, how awesome, maybe one of the boys was chewing it and decided to stick it there, I wonder if I lick it I could taste what kind of gum it was, I wonder which one was chewing it..." But that was only for a split second. I quickly snapped back into reality and thought, "eew, disgusting, don't even think about it". :lol: I'll be sure to include a picture of the gum with the other pics. :D

That one is like, "ooh, I want to kiss you, oh wait there's people watching, we better not". 9.5 months later... BuMabies.

Each of them have multiple jackets that they use anyway, so no worries. Even if they were to ship the auctioned jackets now, they would still have plenty of reserves.

Okay, I found someone at work who has a laptop and was willing to let me use it to upload a couple of pics (one of the globe and case, another of the certificate). I'll take some better pics (and a goofy one or two) at home tonight or tomorrow. I'll try to get an outlet adapter/converter tonight so I can take some pics with it plugged in. Globe Certificate

*making you all drool more* The drum case has Coldplay spray-painted on the side and the top, with a few air travel stickers still attached (Air New Zealand, British Midland), and a few hand-written labels that simply say "GLOBE".
