  1. That's pretty messed up if the "vast majority" of people you see are like this. I mean, I would understand if there were a few of these peppered here and there, but for it to be the "vast majority" is pretty crappy. The security dude where I work always gets lots of smiles and hellos and goodbyes in return from anyone that walks by. Maybe there's just too many people around your building that have "daddy issues"; in other words, they would be a perfect candidate as a character on Lost.
  2. :D I suppose that's about as "official" as you can get
  3. Maybe it was an outdoor pool that could be viewed from outside the hotel. Still, that's no excuse for such behavior.
  4. From your first picture, actually yeah you kinda look like you could be his little sis. :D You say in your siggy that you and Chris held eye contact for 12 seconds during The Scientist... maybe because he was staring and thinking, "holy f**k that chick looks like she could be Jonny's sis, I need to get him over here somehow, how am I gonna do it, aww f**k nevermind I have to get on with the song."
  5. Agreed. And even if someone decides to "spy" like that, at least be nonchalant about it (i.e., DON'T SCREAM).
  6. I think I still have one in a box in my basement. So sad.
  7. Yeah, my hubby has a Zune. But frankly I think he spent more on some crazy earphones for it. *gag*
  8. Okay, so after years of living in the Dark Ages, I have finally decided to purchase an mp3 player. I plan to purchase it in the next few weeks, and I am currently debating between the iPod Touch and the iPod Classic. I have accumulated numerous gift cards during the past few months, which will more than cover the cost, so let us pretend that price is not a factor in my decision. Which model would you recommend, and why? EDIT: I intend to use it primarily for music; I figure if I want to browse the internet, I'll just use my PC.
  9. ^ * looks up the definition of 'stalker' in the dictionary * Well, good luck! And of course, you MUST post pictures if you happen to get any! And tell them 'Carrie in Michigan' says "hi". :D
  10. ^ And how do you know which one it is?
  11. Well, the LA tour lasts less than a month, and they did make it sound like much of it was written while they were on tour last year, so if that's the case all they really need to do is record/mix/play around with it a little, and they've already started that, plus they might test out some songs on the LA tour... But only time will tell. Obviously.
  12. I knew you Guy-girls were gonna be all over this! I'm a Willuver, but I must admit when I first saw the still shots from this interview, I saw Guy and the first word that came to mind was DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMN!!! :dead:
  13. ^ Oh, I've never seen that one. How cute! Well, kind of not cute because it's highlighting global warming, but I suppose that's the point of the flavor. Marshmallow. White chocolate. :dead:
  14. Just about the only thing we can be "sure" of at this point is: LP5RunTimeMinutes.LE.42
  15. Ian - you should add the Easter Bunny to the poll. And the tooth fairy. Or maybe "whatever gets the 'Will Champion Seal of Approval' ".
  16. "Tax Day" here in the U.S. is April 15 (I like to refer to it as the "Ides of April"), however it is for the preceding year ending December 31. I'm not sure how the timing may work for businesses, what they can claim as revenue/expenses/profits/whatever for tax purposes. You also have a good theory there. vveeddddddddddddddyyy eeeeeeeeeeenteresting
  17. ^ I can't tell if he's checking out Jonny's frontside or backside.
  18. At first I was thinking the same thing about EMI: why wouldn't they want the boys to release LP5 as soon as possible, i.e., by the end of the year, since EMI needs the money? But, it could be that EMI might actually benefit from a later release date. I'm not familiar with all the details involved with such contracts, but I'm guessing EMI gets loads of residuals from record sales, concert sales, merchandise sales, etc. So, the longer they have the boys under their wing, the more they get. The monetary present value of these residuals with a later release date might actually be greater than the present value of an earlier release date. It's hard to tell. Plus, aren't the boys free agents after LP5 anyway? If they're itching to get out of EMI (which may be sarcasm from Chris in the interview about being "owned"), then they definitely would want to release it sooner. That would also be why EMI would want them to release it later, because EMI would want to keep the boys around as long as possible. Just a thought.
  19. True. It is often hard to tell when he is being serious versus being sarcastic and/or snarky.
  20. Agreed, late 2010 is feasible. Especially considering they were writing a lot of their new stuff while they were touring, they were itching to spew it all out in the studio, plus Rossi's recent tweet gushing about how "productive" the band is, I think late 2010 is entirely possible.
  21. What do you mean... like what kind of ice cream they'd be? :inquisitive:
  22. EMI Coldplay Sounds like a bickering married couple, with us fans as the kiddies caught in the middle.
