  1. Will's AROBTTH poster is going for less than the other 3 in the auction. I'm slightly offended.
  2. I hope we get some snow by Friday... we only have a light dusting, it would be nice to have a couple of inches so it looks pretty. Of course, I have to be careful what I wish for, because a lot of the States east of me are getting way too much snow.
  3. ^ no. I think there were around 170 or something like that.
  4. This is probably a silly question, but I'm going to ask anyway because I just don't know the answer: What's the difference between a poster and a lithograph? EDIT: Yay! We have reached page #100! This must be one of the fastest growing threads here.
  5. Okay, I get it now. I thought the percentage represented the % of bids for that seller coming from that person, which didn't make sense. I guess that makes me one of the 100% people then (but I'm not one of the ones driving up the prices, I promise).
  6. Well, it appears I'm one of the "100% people", but I'm not the evil one. I've never used ebay before this. I just bid a couple of items to try to get in the first bid, nothing high though, but I might actually try for them in the end. So at least you can feel a little bit of comfort that not all of the "100% people" are evil investors.
  7. vveeddddddddddddddddddyyy carefully No really, though, go to plain ebay, doesn't have to be the UK ebay. 2 of the items won't show up though (the pianos, since those can't be shipped). You still have to place your bid in British pound increments, but it will display the U.S. dollar conversion.
  8. Yeah, I didn't understand what that bid history thing meant. I saw 100%, 66%, 90%... what is the significance of that? I'm new to ebay, so I didn't really get it. Today I was just fine-tuning my F5/click/type bid skills to see how quick I could be, as far as trying to get the first (very low) bid. I'll definitely need those skills if I want to have a chance of winning anything on the important days.
  9. That's hilarious! I was the 2nd bid, LITERALLY two seconds after you (for 33). But, like you said, 'not that it really means anything'... The F5 button is fun. And a total time-waster.
  10. Not right now, just a couple of 'test' bids yesterday. But the 28th, yes. If no success that day, the 29th yes. Ditto for the 30th and 31st. Basically, I would really like to have SOMETHING. You guys will be the first to know if I get anything. ;)
  11. Funny... just the shipping on Will's guitar and amp is $560 U.S. Well, maybe not funny, but you know what I mean. Okay, gotta get to bed now. Toodles.
  12. I bid on something just to bid on it, just barely above what the current bid was, knowing that it will go for much higher anyway. But see, then I get an e-mail confirmation from ebay that I am currently the highest bidder (albeit for a minute or two). But, the COOL thing is... and maybe I'm just being cheesy here... that I will have "my own little memorabilia" that I can keep forever, in the form of an e-mail, saying that I bid on something really cool. So even if I don't end up winning anything in the end, at least I will have that token that I can keep forever.
  13. what about when you are sleeping... or do you not plan to sleep
  14. Well, they do a different theme for each tour cycle, so it's not like they would really use them again anyway after the Latin America tour ends in March.
  15. Yes. They are randomly posting 'buy it now' items for 10 GBPs. But, only one of each lithograph, so not very many, and you've got to be pretty lucky to get the timing right.
  16. yeah, but they're still fans so we can't be haters in that case
  17. Well, so far, in 5 hours they've raised over 20,000 GBPs for Kids Company. And they've still got 3 more rounds of items to go... and 9 more days. Whether or not we get anything, this is just so awesome.
  18. You can tell who the Coldplay fans are on the detailed bid lists... the ones who bid 42 (or some variation of 42, like 742). I like to see that. ;)
  19. Okay, thanks. I have now fulfilled my quota of learning something new for the day. Gotta go now, I'm wasting too much time... but at least it's a fun waste of time.
  20. Woohoo, I'm the highest bidder on one of the liths, for probably 20 seconds. Just want to say that I at least participated at some point. So, since this is my first ebay experience, I noticed that the bidding list just says Bidder 1, Bidder 2, etc., and the only 'name' I see is mine. Does ebay just not show everyone else's bidder name?
  21. True dat, charity is good. Yeah, a few years ago I bid on something on a different site, waited until the last minute and kept bidding higher just to see how much I could make the other person pay... but then they didn't bid any higher. I learnt my lesson right quick. :embarassed:
  22. :whip: Yeah, by me... so please don't do what you suggested on post 1260. :(
  23. Looks like things have died down... for a little while anyway. There was the intial surge, and now the waiting begins, for 1.5 weeks. Okay, gotta go now, I'll be back in an hour or so. Have fun torturing yourselves.
