  1. Yeah, no kidding. I'm going to be on my "lunch break" starting a half hour before the bidding ends. And hardly anybody will be at work that day, so I'll have some peace and quiet and people won't fall over in their chair when they hear me squeal in excitement (if I win anything). :P
  2. When I was a little kid, I wanted a Barbie Dollhouse for Christmas. Then one night in December, we got a phone call during dinner. My dad answered, and he said it was for me. It was Santa. He was calling to tell me that I wouldn't be getting the Barbie Dollhouse because they ran out of roofing materials for the Dollhouse in the workshop, so the elves couldn't make anymore. I was upset, but I thanked Santa for calling to let me know. Of course, several years later I found out my parents had a co-worker make the Santa phone call, because they didn't want to spend that much money on a toy. :freak:
  3. Does it say 'Walt Disney' on the right butt cheek?
  4. I know that it won't go that far, I'm just... still... hwwwthhhhhhhhtkkkk. Dang, there's another loogie. I really need to go take that nap now.
  5. I'm not so much gagging at Brian Eno's Ambient 1 (and it was 1/1 by the way), it is lovely in its own right. But the massive loogie I just hacked up was the thought of him working with Coldplay too much. A little to broaden their horizons (with LP4) was fine, but too much, I don't know. If newdirection=airportmusic Then me=gag EndIf
  6. Okay, so I officially just had my WTF moment of the day. So, I decide that I want to take a little nap before getting ready for the evening. I like to have a little music playing softly in the background, the type of music will vary depending on my mood. So I flip through the Music Choice (music only) tv stations, and think hey, I haven't listened to soundscapes in awhile (because it is usually pretty cheesy). So, I turn it to the soundscapes station. I am perplexed, the guy on the screen looks familiar, I'm thinking wait, this guy looks like... omg it IS... BRIAN ENO. The song that was playing was from 1978 called "Ambient 1: Music for Airports". DUDE! WTF!?!? AIRPORT MUSIC? This guy was making music for airports when the boys were babies and/or not even born yet. Gag.

Hello Layla, welcome! And don't worry, I think you're English is great. I wouldn't have known that it wasn't your first language if you hadn't said anything. :)
  9. Hello and welcome!
  10. Funny! He's probably worth about 50M, so you better start saving NOW.

  12. I still have my "Price"tag name sticker, it is on my desk at work. I should take a picture of it sometime and post it for you. :P I don't have my camera with me at the moment so I can't do it now.
  13. eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww (also, don't pick up any yellow and/or wet butterflies) That sounds pretty close to what I had to do for The Price is Right a couple of years ago (shortly before Bob Barker retired). I was in queue for a total of about 6 hours (with no guarantee of getting in), and once I got into the studio I had to go pee like I've never had to go pee before. Luckily the ushers let me leave for one minute before the show started. I didn't want to risk peeing on stage in front of Bob Barker (although I didn't "come on down" anyway, so it didn't matter).
  14. That's part of what I never understood... so, what if you run to the front row after queueing for many hours, and then you have to get a drink becuase you feel dehydrated, or what if you have to go pee? Do you lose your place in the front row?
  15. I know this is thinking a bit in advance, but if anybody here wins a bid on anything, they should post a picture once they receive the package. That way we can all, kind of, enjoy it. Just my opinion.

  17. No... because I don't have an iPod. I am way behind. Bob Seger
  18. I don't think there was anything wrong with his neck... I (and at least one other person on the Clearance Sale thread) think it was just part of the outfit/persona of the salesman character that Will was impersonating.
