  1. now I'm going to have that little jingle in my head the rest of the night
  2. Oh, now that I look at the map, it looks like you are just barely outside of the watch zone http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/watch/ww0800.html
  3. Rudy, I saw on the news that your area might be under a tornado watch right now? :surprised: * welcomes Rudy to the Midwest *
  4. Ugh, it annoys me so much when people say stuff like that! Seriously!?
  5. If you were on ground level, or if you were standing at the time you might not have really felt it. I called my husband as it was happening, and he said he didn't feel anything (he works in a ground-level building). I was on the 8th floor of a 20-story building so it was a bit more noticable.
  6. You should take some pictures of the area (not necessarily your room if you don't want to).
  7. Oh my goodness, thankfully you are okay! I wonder if that would damage gas and water lines. If at any point you smell gas in the area... get out of there quick.
  8. dontchya know, da world is gonna end
  9. (from local Detroit news) 5.9 earthquake in Virginia shakes East Coast; tremors felt in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing WASHINGTON — A 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered northwest of Richmond, Va., shook much of Washington, D.C., and was felt as far north as Rhode Island and New York City -- and across Michigan. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was 3.7 miles deep. Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. The quake was in Mineral, Va., in Louisa County. Around 2 p.m., Connie Burke said she felt the Renaissance Center bounce for about 15 seconds from her desk on the 38th floor of Tower 100. “I was moving up and down like I was in one of those kids’ bouncy houses,” she said. High up in the RenCen, “we feel the swaying on windy days, but this was big. I’ve felt things like this before in my time here in Michigan, but never anything like this.”
  10. In Virginia? I wouldn't think we could feel that from here. Although I heard there was another one in Colorado yesterday. 2012 must me starting early. Yeah I'm okay. Building hasn't collapsed yet. It's not bad here, it just feels weird having the building swaying ever so slightly.
  11. In Michigan?!? What the fuh?????????????? This feels so weird, the floor and my chair moving back and forth.
  12. Could we ask the appropriate band "staff" to tweet about it on our behalf? That would reach loads of people. Or is that not appropriate?
  13. To clarify for the noobs, BTDMA refers to the BT Digital Music awards. Awards are also given to fansites, which means Coldplaying.com can potentially win. edit: Info from last year's awards http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71910 http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72763
  14. The HP Touchpad was on sale for a crazy low price starting a few days ago, but they probably got snatched up already. 16 gig was $99 32 gig was $149 The guy at Best Buy said the best bet would be to check back on their site periodically in case one pops back in their inventory.
  15. she's not a member of the band, why are the cumulative Gwyneth threads more popular than the Will threads WWWHHHYYYYYYYY :bigcry:
  16. Family says toxicology reports indicate no illegal drugs in Amy Winehouse's system LONDON (AP) - Amy Winehouse's family says toxicology tests show there were no illegal drugs in her system when she died. They say the tests showed "alcohol was present," but it hasn't yet been determined if it played a role in the singer's death last month. The 27-year-old soul diva was found dead in her London home on July 23, and an initial post-mortem failed to determine the cause of death. A statement released Tuesday by spokesman Chris Goodman on the family's behalf said "toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death." It said the family awaited the outcome of an inquest that is due to begin in October. http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/entertainment/family-says-toxicology-reports-indicate-no-illegal-drugs-in-amy-winehouse%27s-system
  17. Jangly. :awesome: I love that word! Makes me think of Mr. Bojangles. edit: Consdering the Oracle's answer today, I think there's a pretty good chance that the xylophone video from the studio is part of MX (the full song).
  18. Big thumbs up to you! Well, Chris definitely loves him. / still waiting for a BuMaby
  19. How funny... I just purchased that song on iTunes last week!
  20. I just told this to my husband, since he was in marching band in high school. He went to band camp. His words... "band camp f***ing blows." And he even puked one time. He offers some words of advice... don't eat spaghetti and peach cobbler right before practice.
