  1. Go to On Demand scroll down and choose 'Music' then 'All Live Music' then 'Live Music N-S' find Radiohead. There's also 'Radiohead and More', but just pick the plain Radiohead one. It's a compilation of performances from an English music show, from three different eras (The Bends, OK Computer, and HTTT). Imagine how frustrated I was when I decided to get the IR FTB on iTunes complete with video, but I didn't bother to verify the tracklist; I assumed it would have everything, but they only included the IR material. I was a bit miffed, but I suppose that's my fault for not paying attention. I really hope they come to Detroit.
  2. Do you have Comcast/Xfinity as your cable provider? Seems like a weird question, but there's something I can recommend if you do. Also, even though you said you like OK Computer more than In Rainbows, you might want to check out this performance if you have time. They performed a few non-In Rainbows songs here. Two of the songs (starting at 18:20), The Gloaming and Myxomatosis, are on their 6th album Hail to the Thief (HTTT). When I first heard the songs on the album, I didn't like them. But when I saw them performed on this, I was like ooooohhhhhhh WOW I get it now.
  3. :surprised: Greg's back I suppose some people here may not really know me. Hello all. I'm Carrie.
  4. :bigcry: I went to bed halfway into the 4th hour and recorded the rest of it (haven't watched it yet). I was holding out hope because the shows had performances from a few artists I've never heard of, and from various stages including the dinky tents. Was it BBC's decision or Radiohead's decision that it not be filmed?
  5. 2 hours into the 5-hour Glasto 2011 event on Palladia... no Radiohead yet.
  6. Yeah. Check these out... Talk Show Host How I Made My Millions True Love Waits The Amazing Sounds of Orgy Fast-Track Kinetic Worry Wort Paperbag Writer Gagging Order I Am A Wicked Child Plenty of others but those come to mind.
  7. I understand what you're getting at. I pretty much share your "ranking" of Kid A... http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4909978#post4909978 I do like some of the songs, but... yeah. :dazzled: And of course I Might Be Wrong. You And Whose Army? And although it's a b-side, The Amazing Sounds of Orgy. Loooooooove that song, something about the creepiness of it. Oh, and Kinetic, and Fast Track, and Worry Wort, and the live version of Fog.
  8. FYI, tonight Palladia is going to air five 1-hour shows highlighting Glastonbury 2011 performances starting at 9pm EST. Normally there are only three shows for each year. I really hope part of Radiohead's performance is in there somewhere. Because if BBC (they compile those shows) can't manage to fit Radiohead somewhere in there, then... screw BBC.
  9. Maybe I can try. :wacky: Well, I'm a relatively new fan myself; I just started listening to them in late January, a couple of weeks before they announced LP8. I would recommend you start with LP7, In Rainbows. It has 15 Step which you're familiar with, and the song that originally got me started on them, House of Cards. A few months ago some people here made their top 15 lists, so I can forward you the link to my top 15 playlist on YouTube if you'd like. I actually made a thread here shortly before I started listening to them to get advice from other people here, so that might be helpful also.
  10. When the time comes, Santa's elves will send PMs to everyone involved and let them know who they will send a card to. It won't be for awhile though.
  11. We call them Federal Holidays. Based on the post office schedule in the link we have 7 of them (the others on the list are standard holidays). All Government offices (and banks) are closed on those days. Business don't necessarily close, but some do. http://about.usps.com/news/service-alerts/2011-federal-holidays.htm MLK Jr. Day Washington's B-day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veterans Day
  12. ^ In the early 1900s workers in the U.S. protested for better working conditions, hours, respect, blah blah blah. Somehow "Labor Day" was born out of that. People get the day off. Or something like that. All I care about is that I get the day off. 3-day weekend. woot
  13. :surprised: smart chick is smart
  14. Finding out that we are in first place in our softball league (for now). :awesome:
  15. :surprised: That sounds om-nom-nom!
  16. *waves hello to Jason* So, wait... an auction house bought the jacket during Coldplay's auction? Is it just me, or does that sound kid of silly?
  17. Yeah but something tells me my husband wouldn't really be to keen on a hostel. And you've gotta understand... even if at this point we found a hotel for $1 per night, it wouldn't matter. He's already irked about it, so even if we went it would still be in the back of his head and he probably wouldn't have a good time.
  18. September 2011 ! This month we extend the title of Member of the Month to _Tash. She is always keeping the forum updated with information from the band's website, including Oracle Q&As, Roadie #42 blogs and other news, as well us the band's twitter. She helps to keep Coldplaying your one-stop source for all things Coldplay. :D Thank you _Tash!
  19. ^ Umm, actually the Tigers pwn both. And... thank you again for all the advice guys, but we recently decided that we're not going to go. :disappointed: My husband had a certain expectation of how much the hotel would cost (I guess he thought hotels in a big city would cost the same as one in BFE); so since his expectation got blown out of the water he just got irritated by the whole thing and decided to put it off for now. Oh well.
  20. On multiple occasions you have said you are/were a groupie. I don't think nuns are allowed to be groupies.
