Student, just finishing up first year uni. And I have a part time job.

But then I don't get the dorm experience! But it would save me $10000 dollars. Idk. Seriously, I have a hard time choosing ice cream flavours. How am I supposed to do this?!

Ok, so right now I'm almost finished my first year of university. I'm living at home and going to the undergrad school in my town. It's not a great school, but it's not terrible. But the thing is that I really didn't enjoy my first year...and isn't university about meeting new friends, having new experiences, and everything? I didn't have any of that. I just hung out with people I already knew. I didn't feel like I got the whole university experience. So I'm considering transfering to a university that is 3 hours away from my home. Money is not a problem, my parents have been saving for schooling since I was born! And this university would give me a better academic experience and I would likely have a better chance of getting into a better grad school. However, I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave home. My twin sister is staying here, and my dog and my parents are here. I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave them and go off on my own. I know I can visit, but when I think of everything that I will be leaving, I get really sad. Has anyone here moved away and lived in residence? What was it like? Is it easier than you thought, moving away from home? Thanks :)

I hate everything about my life. I hate how I hardly have any friends, the friends I have aren't the type of friends I want them to be, emetophobia is ruining my life, my parents favour my sister over me so much that it's disgusting, my sister is supposed to be my best friend but she can be extremely stupid, I've never had a boyfriend or even anyone who has shown much of an interest, I hate my university, I hate that I've never had the experiences that I wish I could have had in high school, I hate the way I look, I hate that I used to get top marks but now I'm slipping, I hate when I'm not the best at something, I hate that time is running out. And most of all I hate the one thing that I can never post or say out loud. Because if I do, it will be real and I don't think I can deal with that. When it becomes real everything will change, and then life as I know it will be over. And everything will get worse than it already is.

I just decided: English major, Sociology minor I think I want to be a book or magazine editor. It's the only thing I can see myself being good at and enjoying.

I'm terrified of death. Honestly, I suppose I would be upset if I died tomorrow because I'm only 18 and I've never even had a boyfriend, I haven't finished university, had a career... But I would be dead, so I guess that stuff wouldn't matter. But my parents would be sad (obviously) and I don't know what my twin sister would do without me.

My 10 year old cousin was diagnosed right before Christmas. He has to monitor his blood sugar and insulin constantly, and has to watch everything he eats. He is also allergic to peanuts, so this has limited his choices even more.

My family has had people try to break in. Once the doorbell rang at 4 am, and it turns out there was some creeper peering in the window from our back deck when he accidentally hit the doorbell. My dad ran outside and yelled at him and then called the cops, who drove around for hours and never found the guy. But the next morning we found a our baseball bat, garden fork, and garden hoe lined up outside the garage like the guy was going to use them to break in. And another time, my parents woke up hearing voices coming from the back yard, so they called the police. Before the police got there, I looked out the window and saw two guys kicking in the door to a neighbour's garage. The police were everywhere that night...they even let dogs loose and the dogs went crazy when they got to our yard! Jolly good times.

Can't say I have...

I have a lot of fears (death, disease, spiders, losing my family, etc.) But my only actually phobia is emetophobia. It's totally irrational and most people probably think it's a stupid phobia, but when you actually have it it's awful.
