Young Porto manager to conquer Europe? Heard that one before.

What have you learned today?
I like Nowhere Man apart from the bit before the music comes in. It really grates on me.

Would you like to add anything to the latest link Mark?

Ballabriggs wins fifth Grand National for McCain family
Why post a story highlighting it if you think it's too obscure to be discussed then? You've proved my point. Other media's did not rely on a pre-existing agenda, nor did they use distasteful pictures in a story where they were supposedly taking the moral high ground on taste? Do you understand this?

I'm not talking about not discussing the Grand National, I'm talking about simply talking about exactly what is already being talked to death about. The Grand National thread is perfectly understandable. I'd have been surprised if their wasn't one. But I'd also be surprised if you were that bothered about the horses that died, and instead simply following a story on a whim. I'm wondering if you are going to enter into a discussion, led by you, regarding jockey and horse safety, or if your last link was just adding to the rest of the reactionary stance the Daily Mail likes to read. We might as well just have everyone read the Daily Mail's headlines and 'Also in the news this week' and get rid of you.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're a shit poster Mark. I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Pictures, webcams, mugshots etc etc etc
I was about to post 'everyone's so pretty' but I'll quote you instead.

But why don't you post links to stories that interest you and that isn't already being discussed to death? Something actually worth discussing, unless you intend to start a intellectual debate on horse racing. Simply linking to whatever the Daily Mail is talking about is hardly a contribution, especially since 99% of the time you're only linking since you thought of a good pun.

I would be more than happy if I was the equivalent of a BBC spokesperson, and you a Daily Mail spokesperson. Do you honestly read the Daily Mail all the time?

Are you gonna post as many stories on horse racing as Rooney ones Mark? You really are reactionary. These things happen all the time, and you wouldn't be posting them unless The Daily Mail hadn't picked it as their flavour of the week. Had the Grand National not happened you would not have linked to the newer story.

Not that I'm surprised. The Daily Mail are scummy fuckers. Shame on you for reading it.

It's rare to show somebody or something actually dying in a newspaper. I'd say that lacked taste. A body covered could have been fine but them ploughing into the turf alongside other pictures of the rest of the proceedings seems like they need to put their priorities in perspective if they are going to try and take the moral high ground.

No I'm saying that there was no need to include it in the headline. The main news was the horses dying, not what the BBC said. Looks like they had it in for them if you ask me.

Mike, how have you not linked to Taxman by The Beatles yet? (Or Start! by The Jam and The New Pollution by Beck, since all three are the same)

I don't know Cream other than a couple of songs so I'm unaware of the comparison. They'll have taken the best bits of Cream and lost the pomposity I'm guessing.

The 8th Mixtape Exchange (Links in first post)
I made mine in about twenty minutes, but that's because I've been making playlists consistently, around one a week at least for the last year, so I have plenty to draw from. Just a case of searching through them and cherry picking to the persons needs. Need to download the tracks yet.

Which Beatles Top 15 Is Better?
Hey Mike, do you like Tame Impala? Just heard them today, they remind me of some of the stuff from Playlist B. You know, the better playlist... Start with It Is Not Meant To Be and Solitude Is Bliss.

Batter them Arsenal. I think Blackpool are down now. Their heads have gone. One less team for Blackburn to worry about in the dogfight.
