  1. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/8937867.Atheism_to_be_taught_in_Blackburn_and_Darwen_schools/ Inspired by this news story in my local paper (wrongly entitled ''Atheism' to be taught' due to good old fashioned shock tactics to sell newspapers). So they are going to teach children in my area about humanism (based on reason, justice and ethics) as a form of non-religion, alongside lessons about religions. What are you views on it, and would you want a syllabus similar to this to be taught in your area? Do you think it is a positive step? Do you think it will 'confuse' children? Give reasons for or against, or both.

  3. Reminds me of Bright Eyes new album cover, but better. The Bright Eyes one is shit. This one is a bit less shit.
  4. Too much tolerance here. We have the BNP haha. Though naturally I'd rather have them here than them not be allowed. I'd just rather them not be here because nobody was stupid enough to vote for them or even have founded them in the first place.
  5. Well, this seems to be the religion thread I suppose. I know this ones mainly centred around Christianity, but it's all similar to me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/12860407 An example of people refusing to allow their 'God' to punish the person in question, since in reality it's all about them losing control and not being able to enforce their beliefs and dogmas on others. If what she is doing is wrong then let her go to hell or whatever. I wouldn't parade myself in a bathing suit, but if somebody wants to then that is up to them.
  6. Such a good album that one. Bloody nerds.

  8. This is just what happens when bands don't have calculated responses. They just say exactly how they feel and don't expect it to escalate to the amount it would in an interview. Naive, but honest. Possibly better. The problem is that people read loads into it. I mean, I say stuff all the time about bands off the cuff, not meaning too much by them, but if it became public and I had to defend it, sometimes I wouldn't be able to, it would just boil down to me just not being interested in the band. Hard to explain that to the fans of said band though. They are Human After All. Oh wait, that's Daft Punk.
  9. So why do you wanna be at skool? Do something cool. Fool.
  10. It's always interesting to see Chinese people leaving comments regarding their country at the bottom of articles like that one, about their country. Like when that guy got the Peace Prize recently. Unfortunately I can't see any for this one.
  11. Ha. Chemical Brothers are a fucking good band though. Pair of nerds too so thought they'd have appreciated them.
  12. And Listening Party goers will know Suuns. Here's a couple of tracks, both different, for those who don't know them: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Rb9qrhC1lg]YouTube - Suuns - Arena[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k4znTNeVjg]YouTube - Suuns Gaze[/ame]

  19. He started wearing them after going to a few parties in LA. It doesn't matter where they originate from, I don't want all the bad things of America to influence him. I'd rather the good things from America did. Like something else that can't think of right now.
