classical music is amazing i recommend debussy also, listen to michael andrews' score of the donnie darko film i'm not bad. need to do some tidying and need to find the house phone which has been lost for a few days (the house isn't even a mess, it must have just ended up somewhere random like fallen behind something) and then i'm going to the pub

man that sucks. seems weird to try and ignore certain emotions. art will always replicate real life and real life is full of highs and lows. wrapping a person up in cotton wool isn't the answer. but anyway, how are you today?

i'm pretty glad my parents were cool with the music i wanted to listen to. when i was 12 i was really into rap and that was fine, even with the lyrics. then as i got older they got me into a lot of good stuff like portishead, radiohead, massive attack, the fall, pere ubu. it didn't matter if it was weird or the lyrics were explicit, it was art.
