Me, too. I went through my phase and it was great, but it's all too emo for me right now. But I still think they're great and am looking forward to their next album ... I just hope they move forward from AROBTTH and start challenging me as a listener.

same reason the thousands of other people do it: low self-confidence. frankly, i don't think it's that bad, but it kind of misses the point: you don't need the approval of others to feel good about yourself. Totally agreed, Tom Peed .. at least with the second sentence. I'm inclined to agree with the first, too, expect I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to idle curiosity.

I agree with the above as it concerns HTTT and Elephant: Two classics, IMO. Me and a friend at work are always talking music, and these two have been our references points for rock music since their release. I think I'll be listening to three two forever. Travis's effort was also great, and I REALLY like what The Shins put out.

It was a sketch comedy show on MTV ... and guess what? I got picked up for another year! I disagree with your opinion on Snoop because I like him music, but we have a common ground in a.) his TV show should go, and b.) all this -izzle fo' shizzle stuff is becoming trite.

Vitalogy is awesome, Jacob! Good to see another Pearl Jam fan (go figure, in a Pearl Jam thread?!?!?). The more I listen to Riot Act the more I love it. And their new DVD?!?! It's great! Better than Coldplay's, IMO. "Love Boat Captain" is SUCH a great song. OK, I'm going emo :P

If you'er a fan of messageboards, "The Threads" have a good ring to it. It could also refer to the individual members of your band: Individual threads composing a distinct object.

Except that Jack White is incredibly good as both a songwriter and a guitarist. It's very difficult to say otherwise and maintain any perception equivalent to objectivity or rationality, and, while I admit I'm a White Stripes fan, I think it might just be easier for you to say "I don't like that kind of music" rather than evoke an indefensible argument questioning Jack White's talent. But try as you must. FWIW, I LOVE Jay-Z. Jay-Z is King.

My inner child is not a child at all. I have a inner geriatic old man, intolerant and tired. My inner-geriatric committed and act of infanticide about three years ago, shortly after I broke up with a girlfriend to whom I'd gotten very close. I went through a hard time after that one because of that inner child, and form that rose the inner old man. Tired of tending to the child's constant need for reassurance, the old man killed the child dead, leaving me to deal with this requests for prunes and reruns of The Andy Griffith Show. But I'm rambling.

I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan. One summer I toko vacation from work and toured with them for nine straight shows. I love the band and think they are incredibly underrated int he grand scheme of things. I can understand somebody saying they prefer Creed, but as a Pearl Jam fan it kind of hurts me. I listen to Creed and hear dumb downed Pearl Jam: Pearl Jam's music emulated in tone and style without the sustance, the goal being money. I see and band that doesn't seem to be professional musicians but professional entertainers. There's nothing wrong with that, nor is there anything wrong with making "dumbed down" music. It just hurts my feelings, I guess. I realize I may have been rude here but I'm sorry. Yeah, I should delete the above, but I won't and just beg your forgiveness for being a jerk.

I remember everybody that I haven't forgetten :) There is a drawback, though: I have forgetten a lot of names :( I want to apologize to everybody.
