  1. I was lost (for about a month), I was lost Crossed lines I shouldn't have crossed
  2. Hello all: I don't know why anybody would remember me, but I hope you do because I remember you. Many of you stick out in my mind as some of the best people I've ever encountered in life, let alone the internet. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with the board and your lives, and if not maybe we can just pretend I never left? The main reason I took another 3 week hiatus was to move. I was without a reliable internet connection during that time and, because I have been busy at work, I have not had other opportunities to post. I think the important thing to say is I missed the interaction.
  3. I'm going to go buy the latest Erykah Badu tomorrow. I downloaded "Back In The Day" from mtv.com this morning and that pushed my desire over the top. Me must have it.
  4. I've been a little busy again. I'm going to create a thread so people who are interested can know (and those who aren't don't have to bother). Period pieces are so cool, and the money thrown at movies over the last ten years (most of which is spent frivolously) makes a period piece done well a special thing. This really was done well, very respectful not only of Japanese Samurai culture, but also very conscious of those issue important to Japanese militarization (which, of course, becomes very important in the fifty to seventy-five years following this movie) as well as the unique environment of Japan. Some of the shots of the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. And as I understand it, the main of the movie was shot in Japan. Notes: I'm not expert on Japanese history, culture, or movie making.
  5. Hi Lea! I've missed you.
  6. I think I'm closer to Laura's position. I'm not a big fan of Christmas music. If I go into a store that happens to be playing it I tend to leave with a slight headache. Each December, when I hear the first notes of it, I stop and sigh. It's just a little trite for my tastes.
  7. I thought the movie was very good. I thought Tom Cruise was as engaging as he has been in a long time.
  8. I just cut my own hair last week. Just took the clippers with a #2 edge and hooked it up. Doesn't exactly look "fresh," but then again I'm not sure what fresh would be.
  9. Ginger's "got my back." We're "representing." "Word."
  10. there ya' go though i'm not 100% sure "oxymoronic" is an actual word.
  11. 17K ... egads!
  12. Great post! Thanks.
  13. that's good. i saw a non-human person the other day. it was really oxymoronic.
  14. Dogs are better than cats. Cats and independent and clean, true. These are not qualities I look for in an animal, and if I did I would get a dolphin as a pet. Dogs are reinforcing, loyal, compassionate and interested in your life.
  15. Hail Noel Gallagher!
  16. some might say we will find a brighter day 'cause i'll be standing at the station in need of education in the rain
  17. to be hoenst, i'm much more critical of "man penis" than man hands.
  18. Ginger ... are you OK? Are you OK? Are you OK, Ginger?
  19. Bound with all the weight of all the words I try to say As I face the sun I have no shadow As they took my soul they stole my pride
  20. I wanna see them live again, but I don't want to have to pay the $50US again. Maybe once a year or so ... too bad they don't come through here that often.
