1. music/art have always been about money, and it doesn't make it any worse or less pure or whatever. Particularly historically, artisans (craftspeople) regarded their art form as a means to an end, with the end being food on the table. I don't see why commercialism ⇒ bad in everyone's mind.
2. for realzies? Now I'm worried, I don't feel like I put as much effort into it as I usually do/should have. >.> also I got rid of my trollin' track and didn't find any rap songs that fit in so that cut out my awesome genremixing a little. D: DON'T BE DISAPPOINTED IN ME WORLD
3. why are there so many fucking stickies this is a fucking disgrace
4. all right! I'll wait another week I think but I might take you up on that. :nice:
5. I WANT A REVOO I think my classical probably turned off my recipient D:
6. someone tried to something on their hard-drive, so
7. when you realize that it would be bordering on vulgar overindulgence to wait to be king :hat2:
8. (RATCHET AND)
9. I dunno, kind of, some songs I associate so strongly with certain feelings I make myself not listen to them except on certain occasions, so I guess so. for a while I wouldn't listen to classical piano because the guy I like is so good at it and it made me depressed :blank: but then I went back to it.
10. Yeah, from the videos I've seen she may use backtracking but she sings in basically all of the whole show except dancey bits like that... and to be honest who can blame her, it's incredibly difficult to maintain vocal control/emotional involvement and dance strenuously at the same time. Even opera singers can only do it up to a point.
11. yeah <3 I like that in a performer, a lot. Very profesh.
12. Can't wait til I see what my partner thinks of mine :D
13. haha, yes I did. (: yeah I was totally crazy-fied! really surprised, and pleased too. They're starting to get more coverage though I think, pretty sure they were in Rolling Stone a while ago. yeah I think I actually first heard them by downloading one of your tapes! Crazy world :)
14. I gotta say that's a classy lookin' sig/avatar you got there ma'am.
15. okay so TAKE TWO I suppose. Track A: No Cars Go - Arcade Fire. What can I say, great way to start off anything. I used to be really obsessed with this song (actually, the whole album) :wacky: Track B: For some reason, I feel like I've heard this song before, maybe I heard it on Pandora or something. I dunno who or what it is at all, but I like it, specially the chorus. Very catchy, upbeat, and so on. The three times I've heard it I've been bouncing around each time. Track C: Another catchy/upbeat song. I like the guitar, but the lyrics are a little banal. Not sure if I'm very into this song. It isn't bad, it just doesn't do much for me. Track D: I really like this track. I'm singing along by my third listen to it, haha. I really like whatever jangly stringed instrument is going throughout it (I can't tell if it's high-pitched guitar playing or something more unorthodox.). Nice little song. I like the lyrics to this one better, I guess they're a little corny-ish-ish out of context maybe? but they go with the song well. Track E: A lot more downbeat than the preceding few. I suppose D was more of a transition to this kind of mood. Not much going on with the instrumentation, so as far as that goes it isn't too interesting, but it's calmer than the others and fairly nice to listen to. Also, the simpleness of the instrumentation fit the song well, because it seems to me to be pretty contemplative ("I get lost in my mind..." and so on). Track F: Ah, minor-key piano. That and all the reverb on the guitar make this really dark/creepy at the beginning. I think I kind of dislike this song. The guy's vocals kind of bother me, they're sort of whiny and shouty at the same time. The piano is a little simple to say the least, it's basically just plucking out minor chords, which gets old after a whole song (then again it's serving a rhythm function, not a melody function... but I still got bored of it, lol). Don't care for this one too much. Track G: Forget whatever dark/slow mood was going on earlier. Poppy song, the guy's voice sounds slightly autotuned. (the backing oh-whoah-whoahs definitely are, but I'm not entirely sure about the lead's.) Cute lyrics, cute song. Not sure if how into it I am. Track H: Soldier On - The Temper Trap :awesome: Great band, great song. Kinda confusing coming after the song it did as far as emotional flow goes (I'd've put it after track F, but whatever). I really like this song, I mean I did before, but yeah. Good choice for a mixtape. Track I: Loving this track. I'm sure it's Elbow, because I recognize Guy Garvey's voice (it's pree distinctive, lulz) but I haven't heard it before. I really need to listen to more Elbow (I only have one album), so maybe I'll get whatever album this is off of. Really purty sawng. Elbow is just so good. :wacky: Class act, them Elbows. Definitely a keeper. Track J: Another good track, and we're back to catchy/upbeat and so on. I like this a lot. There's nothing in particular about this song that stands out as being the best or most interesting or whatever, but I just like it anyway. I'm iffy like that, I guess. Track K: This guy's fuckin' up everything. :surprised: I can sympathize. Track L: Bluesy. I dig it. I like the da-da-da-das a lot. Track M: FICTIONIST SMDLHGSSLHKG. Before I'm Old. I really like Fictionist, cuz they're really good. Yeah. :wacky: Good tape! I'm gonna be keeping most of it, I think. Thanks a lot! I'm eager to see who made it. Also, whatever artwork you put with all the tracks is really gorgeous! I wanna know where it's from. I googled "albadevera" (the word in the upper-left), but no hits really, so I dunno what it is.
16. all right. I've listened once or twice yesterday and I'll listen again and write this as I'm listening to it. I'm eager to see who made mine. edit: WELL I wrote that as I was about to start listening and then my computer posted it when I brushed the wrong button, my bad, I'll start a new post I suppose urgh >.<

19. I could tell it was Eddie just by skimming Crests' review lol incidentally, I decided not to go to sleep and to listen to my mixtape instead. I think I want to listen more than once before I review, though, but so far I'm pretty sure I like it, except for maybe like a few tracks? Pretty good tape. There was one song early on I really really liked but I forgot which letter it was.
