  1. Checking in - I thought for sure there would be something today. :(
  2. I agree I like it better than Sing. I really like Planetary Go too. @ Violet I don't like Danger Days as much as Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge or even The Black Parade, but maybe I'm still getting used to the change in their style. It's not a bad album, just not amazing. There are a few quality songs on this album, so you might want to give it a listen once just to see if maybe listening to it all the way changes your opinion.
  3. I went to see these guys in concert last night in Dallas. It was amazing! :D Has anybody else here gone to one of their concerts or is going to go to one?
  4. Checking in. I can't believe I haven't been on here in like 2 days! :stunned:
  5. Checking in for the first time today.
  6. That's what I was thinking! 2012 is going to be awesome for music so far!
  7. Thank you! I was just about to ask a similar question and you answered it. :) I just learned about Coldplay playing on Friday last night and the Friday passes were already sold out. :(. Do you know if they re-release or resell tickets of people who aren't able to make it on the official website, or are these tickets mostly found on ticket re-sale websites? Edit: sorry just read above. I will be checking ebay then. Thanks!
  8. Out of Artists I've seen live: Muse Coldplay
  9. I'm having the same problem! Although that was kind of solved when i saw that Friday tickets were sold out for Austin City Limits were sold out by the time I looked yesterday. :( I'm still holding out hope that they will resell tickets. But in the meantime I'm planning on going to Chicago.
  10. I totally forgot to add Sigur Ros and Gorillaz to my list  I agree with those two! I also agree that Florence and the Machine and Mumford & Sons are some great up and coming bands that have a chance to really make some groundbreaking music. I can't wait to hear more from them. :D
  11. Exactly. It's all about who influences the way new bands sounds.
  12. Muse, Radiohead, and Coldplay are three that I think will continue to influence music for years to come (In the alternative genre at least). I think that most of the fad artists in the top 40 will fade quickly. Lady Gaga is one exception, though. I think she is talented and might stick around long enough to influence pop music for future generations.
  13. This is how I remember it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. They announced the title of the album first. They waited a little while, then announced the tracklisting, and then they waited a little more and released the Violet Hill single. I don't know if they'll follow that formula again, though. They might just kind of magically spring it on us like Christmas Lights, like one of the people above mentioned.
  14. If we all agree that we think a single's coming out at the end of this month or the beginning of next, when do you guys think they'll announce the name of the album and the tracklisting? You think they'd do that first, right?
  15. Yay! Done with tests! Now to wait for the results. :dozey:
  16. From the Back to the Future movies. :laugh3: The Killers
  17. Yeah I was glad. I get quite anxious if I don't know those type of things. :\
  18. Thanks! Yeah i just realized that math doesn't work out. But I don't know exactly how many people there were to begin with. :laugh3: Only that it was around 40. And yes I was worked up the whole day of review. Thankfully they showed us mercy and posted the list of who made it right after they finished reviewing us.
  19. Only 33 made it through. Yeah I'm glad I made it too!
  20. Aww thanks  I've been in my major for two years now. Half way done! I just went through my sophomore review where they cut about 12 out of 40 of us out of the program. :shocked2: I made it through though! :D Phew! That really made me nervous for a while.
  21. Thanks for the compliment on my art! :D I always appreciate that. My name is spelled Devorah. It's the Hebrew spelling. My Dad is Jewish.
  22. *Drumrolls* Finally, here's my webcam video. It's short and silly. :P Sorry I didn't make a longer one but I'm studying for a final and I'm kinda shy anyway. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHOpQ0W2qDE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHOpQ0W2qDE[/ame]
  23. Well I have confidence in you! (if that counts :P) Your voice is probably pretty good from what I'm guessing. You have some musical talent. You should practice a little and maybe you'll start feeling confident enough to do it. I always have to practice an insane amount before I perform. I have terrible performance anxiety. I'm afraid of messing up, especially on complicated piano pieces. If I practice to where I have it just perfect, though I feel enough confidence to get through. And I find singing and playing terribly complicated so I haven't even tried to do it yet. I guess I have confidence issues too. LOL. So I feel your pain.
