Don't forget the actual Superbowl viewers. I really don't think they would like sitting through 10 minutes of Coldplay . I say this because of the reaction on twitter.

The only way this will work is if they have some good guests. I love Coldplay but not really a good choice to play at a Superbowl.

That's how I felt until I listened to it 2 or 3 times. For me it got a lot better. I even like X Marks The Spot I don't even care what people think of me! lol

I haven't even bothered to read most of this thread... But I will say that because Adele is release her album next month, I really doubt Coldplay will want to 'compete' with it. Also rumours that U2 are releasing their new album around Christmas as well... My guess is next year.
