  1. Spies is the most underrated Coldplay song, imo.
  2. I think it will be more intense than Viva, but not as "big" sounding. There are certain songs you listen to on Viva and you think "that song is meant to be performed in front of 50,000 at a huge stadium." If I had to put my money where my mouth is, I would bet on LP5 being as risky and experimental as Viva, but more stripped down, raw, and intimate.
  3. Ok, this may have been asked already, but I'm feeling a tad bit lazy and don't want to scroll through 24 pages of this thread. To the best of people's knowledge, is Christmas Lights going to be on the new album, or is it just a seasonal Christmas single? My thought was option 1 as I'm guessing the song is lyrically set around Christmas time but not necessarily about the holiday itself (but I'm not 100% certain). I guess I'll find out for sure on Wednesday, but I wanted to get others' thoughts on the topic because I'm impatient and am currently counting down to the song's release.
  4. Eno has always been about "less is more." Compare X&Y to Viva la Vida (the albums). X&Y was phenomenal, but it does sound at times like there's too much going on (for me, "Low" is a great example of this). Viva La Vida sounded more clear and, in my opinion, there was less confusion musically. This is part of the reason why I believe Viva la Vida is (by far) Coldplay's best album. So whatever Eno did with Chris working on Viva La Vida, it worked.

    Yellow vs. Spies
  6. Guy is easily the best-looking of the four. So long as he doesn't go back to that semi-fro he had during the Rush of Blood to the Head years.

  8. I'll take Coldplay over the Beatles any day, but I don't think I can say that Coldplay has reached the level of universal greatness that the Beatles have...yet.
  9. 1. Life in Technicolor ii 2. Lost! 3. Strawberry Swing 4. Viva la Vida 5. Glass of Water/Rainy Day (Can't Decide between the two)
  10. Fantastic way to waste some time being distracted. :D
