Well I like to look at good music vs bad music as a matter of how much respect I have for the artist. There's artists I don't like but that I respect a lot. Now me respecting an artist comes down to whether I would classify them as intelligent or ignorant. Artists like Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga who have no respect for themselves and put out shallow pop music that deals with little else than sex, I would classify as ignorant. I also don't have much respect for artists who don't write their own music like One Direction and Big Time Rush, although I would like to think that their fanbase is only directed towards 7 year old girls, my high school friends sadly prove me wrong. Now I would describe an intelligent artist as someone who writes music in a way that relates and is meaningful to THEM rather than their fans. Someone who actually thinks deeply about their lyrics and tries to produce an emotion from their listener. Someone who doesn't write singles for the radio but rather a complete album with songs that they don't care if they ever get played because they're proud of them. I would say right now some of the most intelligent artists out their are Arcade Fire, MGMT, and Radiohead. (No not even Coldplay. Maybe at one time, but collaborations with Rihanna, shout outs to One Direction, and the playing of 99 Problems before the shows have caused me to lose a lot of respect for them, even though I am still a huge fan. I think Chris has a little bit of Bono in him now where hes trying to please everyone rather than himself. I'm still not sure whether its just him or the entire band :/) No matter what anyone says, music influences your way of thinking!!!!! Chose intelligence over ignorance and, as my father says, DEMAND MORE FROM YOUR ART!!!!!!!

Oh I forgot about the pop up! There's 50 copies of that (I think) and 100 of the acetate promo which is what I have. It's cool though because there's a sticker on the back that talks about how the band will be reentering the studio to work on their upcoming, as of yet untitled fifth album. What if you had a U2 promo that said the same thing and it turned out to be The Joshua Tree? :D

CL was released to 100 people in a contest when the single first came out and I bought one of them from http://www.discogs.com/. :) There's one on there now actually.

The rarest Coldplay release is Christmas Lights (100 copies) which I happen to be a proud owner of. :)

I think Ryan will definately have the intellectual edge over Joe in the debates.

Just started getting in to this band. Sam's Town is amazing all the way through. Hot Fuss is amazing for the first five songs and then after that it's just sorta eh (except for Everything will Be Alright). Then i tried listening to Day and age and its just really sort of generic and i feel the same way about Runaways. I just don't know that this band will ever get back to that bar they reached with sam's Town. :/ Sawdust is really good too. :)

Wolf Gang are 10 freakinbagillion times better than Robyn. I listened to Suego Faults today and liked every single song. I love the comparison of the 70's and the 80's and the ballads and the dance tracks.
