This. I've noticed a pattern in Coldplay's albums, actually: Parachutes: Okay ARoBttH: Brilliant X&Y: Okay Viva: Brilliant MX: Okay Which means that LP6 is going to be excellent :charming:

PoC--and not because of Rihanna (although I wish she would get the heck off my Coldplay album). The lyrics are just . . . soulless. Pit Bull could have written them for all I know. The only redeeming quality is the synth-drop and the line 'You're holding in your hands the two halves of my heart'.

lol, I didn't mean it like that :P I just meant that they need to "rock" a bit more. Do more songs like GPASUYF, Violet Hill, Major Minus, etc.

I wouldn't be worried. Every Coldplay album has taken influences from different places, thereby making them all sound unique. For instance: Parachutes - some jazz style and Radiohead influences ARoBttH - kept the Radiohead sound, but with a bit of U2 X&Y - Umm . . . I'm not too sure about this one; furthering the U2 sound, I guess? Viva - Latino and African influences MX - Hip Hop and Pop influences LP6 - ? Here's to hoping that Coldplay take some influences from bands like Queen for LP6 :wacky:
