so... as some clever guys over there in the ALIENS thread found out, ALIENS is - technically spoken - not so much a new song, as snippets of the song can be heard in a coldplay documentary released in 2009. I know this is probably way too much 'conspiratory' - but what if not only ALIENS, but also Hypnotized and All I Can Think of Is You are actually songs from older eras...? That idea came to my mind as - in my opinion - both of those songs do sound quite a lot like songs of respective past eras...)

I like it too but this really sounds a lot just like a soundcheck jam rather than a song... so, if it is going to turn out into a song one day it is most certainly not going to be on the EP, as it sounds way too much "underdeveloped" at that stage of the EP (even if it wont be released before april)

While I really like the direction they've taken with that stripped back version of the Everglow single, I must say I wasn't too much surprised by it... if you followed a bit what they were doing on tour in terms of 'variation' from the album versions, you could kind of easily see something like this coming, since it's pretty much what we saw more than once during that B-Stage section on tour / where chris was playing everglow in a similar style (i.e. without any bass and drums)

okay, as for the rumours that have been going on here about the middle section to up&up (you can say what is...etc) not being sung live either. this was definately sung live tonight`!

haha no actually not - he even sang "sat on a roof" twice on that day. that's actually what really confused me when i listened to the song on the album for the first time cause having listened to the live recording of GCF so much i'd totally got used to that version:awesome:

i just love Amazing Day... i could bathe in the feeling and chills this song gives me live FOREVER!

WOW, this is about the first time i've heard Chris sing "hope has it's proof" (as on the record) instead of "sat on a roof" for a second time while doing it live. anyone else noticed?

this was sooo cool during the last tour when they did it in a full band arrangement - with Chris throwing the guitar in the air in the end

anybody else who already attended a show on the current tour thinking that this "everybody get down" - think doesnt work at all with this song, in this place. it absolutely made sense on the last tour in GPASUYF, but here...naah... makes me feel as if i was a little kid somewhere on a camping in italy attending some animation show...

hahaha wanna know what bothered me the most about AOAL when seeing it live (apart from not liking the song too much in general)? that those dance moves, and especially the claps, the monkeys on the screen make, aren't synced at all to the live music -> resulting in the monkey's making the claps long after the claps could actually be heard in the song =D

oh i'm sorry - i meant the first chorus .. =D the build up is as followings V1 part1 - midnight synth texture V1 part2 - bass added C1 - organ added plus guitar added ....

i know what you mean - but as for the organ; if you listen closely you can hear it's actually back in already since the second part of the verse

i like that moment when those E' - strings kick in on the last "that i shoot across the sky" over the C minor of HFTW

well in the position where they play it during this show (between Clocks and CB) they dont move stages
