1. VLVODAAHF 2. AROBTTH 3. MX 4. EL 5. X&Y 6. Parachutes 7. AHFOD 8. GS I feel like EL would be higher in the ranking if it had more fully formed songs instead of the snippets and choir/gospel parts. I'm just not a big fan of that but I love that they're really doing what they like. And that the album is so diverse in terms of styles, it really is an album to listen from beginning to end.

I don't really get why Champion of the World is so hyped. I mean I like the song a lot, but for me it doesn't really stand out. It's a very good Coldplay song that captures their whole sound. But Trouble in Town on the other hand is on a whole different level. I thought Arabesque was extremely good, but TiT is more than I could ever imagine a Coldplay song to be. So good. Maybe even their best song ever. I just can't express it. Lost for words. Thank you Coldplay.

So for now my short review and ranking: 1. Trouble in Town - holy shit this is so good. The ambient dark vibe, with the heavy bass and the outburst with drums is soooo good. Maybe their best song ever IMO 2. Church - I get, the Race vibes. It's very ambient as well. Nice guitar by Jonny and the woman's voice at the end is magical. 3. Champion of the World Coldplay in it's essence. It encapsulates it all. Great song. Needs another listen. 4. Daddy So beautiful. X&Y and Gravity vibes. So emotional and heartfelt lyrics. I like the way Chris sings it. Could use some more Jonny though. 5. Guns Very honest, raw and unfiltered. Love it. Hope CM+J play this together and make it even more rock. This is it for now. The rest will follow after more listens. Overall: love it. It is definitely NOT pop, but I don't know what it is! It feels like this album is really everything Coldplay is and stands for. This is their sound and they have finally found it. It is the best of both worlds (old and new) and I'm loving it. I only hope we will hear more Jonny during the live performances, he's not very present in most of these songs. And the GRAMMY goes to ☀️

I just don't get it why they would make such an unfair poll. They have such a clever marketing team and now they're trying to compete a mega rare song from their first album with 4 of the biggest songs of their career. Surely they know "the masses" will vote for one of those and gives Sparks no chance of success. For me, it seems that it's just "symbolic" to give the old fans the idea they still care about the older music and act like they truly give it an equal chance. And we all know it won't happen this way :(

My ranking at this moment would be: 1. VLVODAAHF 2. AROBTTH 3. MX 4. EL 5. X&Y 6. GS 7. PARACHUTES 8. AHFOD 1 or 2 more "Arabesques" and I think the album will climb to a shared 2nd favorite. To really compete with VLVODAAHF it needs some very big bangers.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I think this is the first song in a long long time that doesn't have a signature Chris "woo-woo" "aah-aah" "ooh-ooh". And I'm not complaining

Everyday Life is so beautiful. I feel this is the kind of song we wanted Everglow to be. It's even better live and it reminds me a bit of Elbow. This is truly the Coldplay I want to hear! Thanks boys for another beautiful gem.

Ok. I definitely hope that Jonny will shine live throughout the song and I'm very curious about the bits he will play. BUT.... can we just take a moment to appreciate the AMAZING bass lines that Guy plays here. I didn't think he would go this funky ever!

I think both snippets are from the same song. If you listen close you can hear the same bass line in both the snippets. Plus the drum/beat structure is the same. Or did I hear a different snippet? (it's about 15 sec long)

I got a call from *a record label*(maybe not allowed to say this but....) to delete the tweet with their adress visible and any reference to them. It appears they found me because I run a Dutch Coldplay fanpage and they where not able to disclose any more information about why they sent it and possible follow-ups... She said "we want to keep it mysterious" So, fingers crossed.

Yeah I might have once pre ordered something Coldplay related through Warner (but then also who here hasn't?) so there should be more people receiving this. And my work is related to spatial development so this can't be it.
