I guarantee that Mylo Xyloto won't be bad. It won't be inferior to AROBTTH, VLV or X&Y. For some people it may be their favourite of them all. We have glimpsed (or more than) some of the new songs and a lot of people have something good to say about all of them.

There is no such thing as 'bad' songwriting!!! If that lyric means something to someone then it is a good lyric. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its bad!

You have just proved the point I am trying to make. They can't keep writing the same style songs and sounds. I would rather have something fresh every album in terms of sounds & lyrics than the same sounding tunes over and over and over and over :sleep::sleep: and over :sleeping::sleeping: and over and over again! :sleeping2:

Just because it is different doesn't mean it is worse or better! I don't get what is wrong with those lyrics at all in comparison to their other songs. There will always be songs that are better than others lyrically & melodically but that is just the way it is. For every person who doesn't like ETIAW there will be someone else who loves. I think they have come to realise that they can't please everyone all of the time so it is better to have everyone like something of there's rather than one person who likes it all. It makes them further reaching, and THAT is why they are so successful!!!

Rihanna has a good enough voice. She didn't write it Chris did so I think this is all being taken out of proportion.

I don't think his lyrics are any worse or better than those that were being written for, say AROBTTH. They are just different. I still think he is a GREAT song-writer!!

^ Yeah I agree with that!! I couldn't imagine POC as a single but that was until Rihanna was recruited. There is no way she would just sing on a song that is JUST part of the album.

I won't listen to UIF and DLIBYH, I am confident enough that they will good enough for me to wait til October 24. Might have a sneaky little read of the lyrics though ;)

Agree, her or Florence and the machine would have been much better choices. But if Chris wrote it with Rihanna in mind then maybe it isn't as bad as every thinks!!!

I never liked Wedding Bells and much prefer Paradise. I never understood the hype around that song!!!!
