  1. Haha, I figured the sparks would be appreciated! And yes I like to pretend Guy is out there just scrolling through thousands of these and looking at mine like "wow, finally, one of someone grinding down spot welds". LOL.
  2. I don't think the shakiness is a bad thing, I think it makes it feel more genuine if that makes any sense. The video is cool! Everyone's is so much nicer than mine haha. I just did one of working on my car. Might have been cooler if I were welding but nothing was ready to weld today. At least it makes my garage look a lot cleaner than it is. 3. I love this idea. Mine is going to be pretty lame so I doubt it gets picked, but I'm looking forward to seeing the video they make and what other fans come up with. I sort of hate having to post it on Instagram though, because I feel embarrassed having people I actually know see it haha.
  4. Agree about Chris's voice sounding especially great ... I just can't get enough of that version; it kind of gives the song a whole new power, you know? It's funny how just a few minutes on a late-night show can make my day, but between the performance and the wonderful and funny interview, it lifted my spirits at the end of a long week. Between that and Chris singing Comfortably Numb (my favorite song ever written) at that Malibu event last week, I'm having a pretty intense fangirl week. :laugh4:
  5. That interview was wonderful, and wow, this version of Hymn is fantastic! Loving this. <3
  6. Ah I see ... well hopefully you can still enjoy it in mini form!
  7. Can you plug it into a regular TV screen with an HDMI cable? Maybe that would help?
  8. Ah rats, didn't actually click through that far. Sorry!
  9. TBS has a "watch live" feature, but I'm not sure if it will show it or not, have never tried watching it this way. Worth a try! http://www.tbs.com/watchtbs/index.html
  10. Yeah I thought that too. I mean they could just be busy in their little chunk of time off, but I'm sure if it were something big they'd come. I dunno, maybe they just wanted to stay in the public eye right after tickets went on sale? Or maybe Chris is just there to boost rainbow pencil sales.
  11. Yeah I did think it was a bit weird for sure. Maybe there will be some news, like an EP?
  12. I'm more excited about this than I probably should be. :laugh4: I don't even have TV, but I know it'll be online and I can look forward to that.
  13. Omg that's awesome!!! What year/model do you have? Diesel Mercedes are my other obsession along with music, I'm always excited to see someone who appreciates both! We can start a little "Coldplayers with Mercedes" Club haha. :cool3:
  14. Haha, I didn't even remember I have a car-related name when I was posting that ... well, at least I've explained where it comes from it now :laugh4:
  15. I think what sets him apart from the rock-star stereotype is that he's a geek about these (and I mean that in the absolute best of ways) ... a lot of famous people buy expensive cars to show off or go fast, but he is really passionate about them, and is into the engineering and the restoration aspect; it's so cool!
  16. I love this so much, I always want to hear more about Guy's cars. Working on cars is my hobby too (albeit, uh, not quite as nice cars, and I kind of have no idea what I'm doing) ... been working on restoring my favorite car for a few months now, and have been doing a lot of work here and there on it and my other cars for a few years. It's just a cool crossing of my "worlds" that one of my favorite musicians also has a passion for that sort of thing. And I love his quote at the end of the article about the car going back home ... I always think that stuff about my cars. I would love so much to see more pictures of his cars and the work he does on them ... I saw the video a few years back about the bus he was going to restore and I thought that was awesome (but want to know what happened to it!). Really wish I could just have tea with him and talk cars for like, half a day or so. :braces:
  17. Yeah, honestly this is why I didn't go to more shows on the MX tour ... I just finds the whole seated process so stressful in terms of cost, picking a good seat, and half the time paying a lot to not have the greatest view. Of course, I had so much fun anyway at the two I did do, I wished I'd done more despite it. So this time I just embraced whatever view I got and tried to budget for the cost (helps I just got a job now, and back then I had just lost one!). But yeah, I really really wish we just had GA floor here like in other countries.
  18. I just want it to exist. :laugh4: I want to say X&Y just because those first three albums were my favorites and when they came out they just clicked with me like almost nothing else ever has. I wish all the time I could go back to that era, not just of Coldplay, but of my life. Plus I feel really sad I didn't go to gigs in those days despite how much I loved the music (never made it to one until 2008) so I missed out on hearing a lot of my favorites live. But, on the other hand, I love what they're doing now, in a different way, and I think it's who they are now. I don't think X&Y is who they are now, and I'm not sure it would really be the same. So I try to tell myself not to waste time wishing to go back to something you can't go back to, instead of enjoying whatever comes along. I do think there are always songs that have little vibes of previous albums, so in that sense, I hope for little bits and pieces of the old days, but on a whole I'm just down to enjoy wherever they go next! (Still voting for X&Y in this poll though, because, you know)
  19. As AMBD said, there should be some more released in the general sale. If you miss out there, keep checking occasionally as the date gets nearer, because last time they dropped a few seats late. Also, you can probably find one for resale at face value. With tickets sold so far ahead of the show, there are always people who buy but realize later they can't go.
  20. Grabbed a seat in A2 for this show last night! Hoping it'll be a good view, it's row 21 but was in the normal price tier. This will be my first time on the floor at a Coldplay show! :-)
  21. Also, looks like a Live Nation presale just started with password DANCE
  22. Ah just seeing this now, disregard msg I sent you. B8 should be pretty good view!
  23. They seem to be adding more seats, just pulled a b5. Just heads up if you missed out. At least. I think that's what I got ... Just back from the eye doctor and can't see well lll
  24. I think they just announced it right as the presale for the other started, and it went on sale the same time. But I'm not sure if it might go differently when they announce it down the road a bit. I wonder if they'll announce and start the sale for a second one when the general sale for this one starts on Saturday. I have no idea but I'm going to be ready just in case.
  25. If they announce a second show, do they usually have a presale for it? Or just drop it out of nowhere and it's on sale right away? It's the latter, isn't it? I'd likely be out of luck there too, because the chances of me seeing it when they announce it are slim. Though, the second might not sell as fast, giving us more time to choose seats.
